Anyone watching the talking dead know what that guy that called in from Tennessee said? the end is near? or something..i found it pretty funny

It was that quote from the Bible that Herschel left for the Governor to find. They cut him off before he could finish.

I think it should be noted that this episode was directed by the show runner who was shown the door this year?

It was written by him, not directed. So that should give you hope if you didn't like this episode. The best episode of the season was written by the new guy in charge, and this one was written by the guy that got fired.

I was also thinking why couldn't she just stab Milton in the head with the plyers?

Maybe I missed something but I thought it was pretty obvious that's what she was going to do with the pliers once she freed herself.....

One thing I think people are overlooking is that Milton was a freshly dead zombie. Since he hadn't been dead for that long and he hadnt started to decompose really, I think it would be pretty hard for Andrea to stab him through his skull. Most of the other zombies have degraded so much its pretty easy to kill them with whatever object you want. Milton at that time would have been just as strong/tough as a normal human.

After reading WWZ and The Zombie Survival Guide, I wish they'd hire Max Brooks to help with the writing/creative end of hte show. I guess Kirkman and Brooks would be too many egos.

The crazy thing about it is that kirkman doesn't need help if you read the comics so this is disappointing

Has the random guy in the cabin been explained yet on this thread? I never understood why he was there or how he'd survived against the zombies.

I don't think he even knew about them. Seemed like a shut in cut off from the outside world. Very strange scene

Seemed like some off his rocker nut job.

I don't think it was that weird.

I know some of you complain about the acting and story line, but this is still my favorite show on t.v. The scene where the governor and his group went into the prison and couldn't find anyone was really tense in my opinion.

I just hate that we have to wait until October for the show to return.

On a side note, has anyone seen the previews for a new show on AMC that stars one of the bit characters from The Walking Dead? I can't think of the characters name but it is the black guy who appeared in two episodes and saved Rick in the pilot episode. Anyways, it is called Low Winter Sun and premieres this summer. It looks pretty good.

sorry, but you must have a very low bar for TV shows if it's your favorite show on right now.

I tolerate the acting in TWD. I usually dont even notice anymore because i choose to ignore it. GOT acting is infinitely better.

+1 for the walking dead being my favorite show on TV right now. But to be honest I don't watch a whole lot of TV.

GOT and Mad Men are the only other shows I watch with any regularity. Suffice to say, TWD is a distant third.

But I still enjoy it.

You must've missed it earlier this season when Carl sexed Hershel's daughter with his eyes.

TWD is an enjoyable show that fills the void between seasons of Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and GoT. Once Mad Men and Breaking Bad are through I'm not too sure what I'll watch anymore. Won't be anything on network t.v., that's for sure (maybe Hannibal).

OK I forgot all about Breaking Bad, it is my favorite show on TV. I'm sorry Heisenberg, I don't know how I forgot.

Kevin Malone,

Sorry I am not the t.v. expert like you, but I pick shows based on entertainment value and not necessarily what shows have the best acting. For instance, I am not a fan of Mad Men eventhough I do realize the acting is better than on TWD. But, I think a lot of others also really like TWD judging by the length of this thread compared to any of the other show threads.

Can we start a thread with no spoilers and no complaining?

I've lost a little interest in this show, especially during the second half of S3. I'm hoping the new writers can get the show going again in S4.

walking dead is mindless entertainment and does its job well.

I think the show was considerably better over the past few episodes at certain moments. Coincidentally, those moments happen to occur when the new showrunner was in charge. I really hope this was a just a little taste of an improved show in the future.

On another note, for those of you who really enjoy TWD and are more interested in the enjoyment factor over the acting/symbolism/artsy fartsy stuff, I'd highly recommend Sons of Anarchy. I thoroughly enjoy SOA, but for totally different reasons than why I enjoy Mad Men. There's violence, chicks, explosions, guns, porn stars, and an awesome cliffhanger in every episode of SOA. But it will never win an Emmy.

Wife and I watched the whole series over the last week or so.

Like the show. Glad I stayed away from this thread.

I think its interesting that people that have been watching the show over the past few years are growing tired of it, but people that just watched the past 3 seasons in two weeks are absolutely hooked woth this show, cause we got all the drama/suspense back to back with no wait.

Good idea staying away from the thread. Lots of ADD afflicted Emmy winning critics on here.
