Um...they wont be as worried as some other group playing Peter Rabbit and stealing crops. All that effort for some ears of corn? If they can get past the zombies at the fence line and cut into the prison, they then have to reseal the fence to remain undetected. Or if they made it that far all they have to do is to kill 10 people to take the prison.

After everything those guys went through that day, I seriously doubt the 2 inmates would have been in any rush to find a way outside thier protective home so quickly. As for the 3rd guy that ran into the yard full of walkers. With all the screaming, I very much doubt he made it through.

I'm gonna have to side with the Merle theory. Or a completely unrelated character acting as a scout from the camp in the previews.

I admire your zeal for trying to prove your point even when you contradict what you say.

Regardless, the most basic force protection is posting a sentry outside where you live so no baddies can come and get your shiz (or you).

Regardless, great idea about Hershel's leg.

So, possible 2-3 more cell blocks? DO you clear 'em out or just lock 'em up?

You absolutely clear them out. They potentially have food, medical supplies, etc.

There is no contradiction, the prize is living at a secure facility, not stealing crops (as you suggested).

Locking them in cell block "C" is a joke, they would need a keys, I guess Rick's group would probably hide those keys in the farm soil for the vegetable thieves to find. Then all they have to do is sneak up while they sleep and lock the doors! Then hope Rick doesnt have his own set of keys to get out! Brilliant!

Clear em. Supplies, room and safety. There is nothing to be gained keeping a dog who will bite you in your home even if its tied up. You cant aim it at intruders its just a liability. And if they've ever seen a zombie movie they know the extra zombies will spring loose right at the same time humans are attacking.

A couple of quick hit items that may have already been touched on...

(1) When they approached the prison, why did they go through the drama of getting Rick to a tower with a rifle when once he gets there, Glen and Hot Farm Girl are already up on a tower?

(2) Why don't they just eye stab all the zombies from behind the fence. Like when Activa JLC is wanting to play doctor with the zombie chick, why did she sneak in and let Glen lead them away? Why didn't they just eye stab those things?

(3) Did Herschal's eyes go black right before he soul kissed Lori? Seemed like it, and then they focused on his eyes again when he woke up and they were clear. Almost to suggest that he had turned and then turned back. Doc's blood have an antidote now?

No. His eyes didn't go black. He didn't almost turn and come back. He was in cardiac arrest but Lori saved him BEFORE he died.

Rick needed to shut the gate to prevent more walkers from entering the yard. Given their limited supply of munitions this was important.

No idea, I would have just used the fence as protection and used noise to lure them all there at the beginning. Why risk going in if you can just have them come to you?

I think there are a few reasons. Those walkers don't really pose a threat anymore since they are outside the fence. The walkers could serve as a first line of defense against survivors that might want to take the prison.

Also, the walkers are bound to ruin the prison as a permanent home*.

* Not a spoiler, just a guess.

Just watched it - late to the party. Good episode.

I think the group not killing the walkers outside and the two prisoners shows their struggle to hold on to whatever humanity they have left. At that time, the walkers/two prisoners weren't a threat to the group. A threat in the future perhaps? We shall see. Also, if you remember, the group didn't kill all the zombies at the house in the beginning of episode one either.

Maybe Puerto Rican on his Mama's side. He was the only prisoner in a wife beater so he must have gotten behind on GTL.
