Caught them by surprise. Yeah, the shock of the governor pulling a pistol on a military group armed with automatics while being shot at from several hundred yards away by civilians was too much for them.

They were national guard. If they are anything like my husbands reserve unit they only pick up a weapon twice a year to qualify.

I just don't see how loris WHOLE body was eaten and fit inside a stomach...plus from the time it took Rick to get there was less than a hour...he ran in as soon as the others came out basically...how could one consume that much in that short of time...that's some bad writing if that's what they are trying to say
