Ok, just caught up with the rest of you.
This show started out interesting, but now its gone cheesy. And people that care wont just stop watching because they WANT it to be good.
I agree with most criticisms about the episodes. How could merle take both maggie and glenn when they both had guns pointed at him. Most characters are one dimmensional.
Michonne is constantly on her p, and needs to move on. How can she drop from trees and take out the henchman only to get her but kicked in a little room with an unarmed governor? Just ram the sword through the back of dead daughters head and keep going through him. Her character got lame quickly and is dragging down the show.
Glenn has come a long way but he needs to let go of the incident where nothing happened except Maggie taking her top off. The world has gone to hell and youre worried about that? I dont think his head stomping scene was to show hes a badass now, but to show that he was really bothered by what happened to Maggie. Of course, she doesnt even seem too bothered by it. Just happy to be back.
I hate the drawn out dialogue and the information holding to build tension. The suck thing about this show is it would have completely been awesome if the only unbelievable thing was the zombies. Even now, the zombies are too easy to kill and the show takes such quick turns when all the sudden a zombie comes in from off screen and bites someone. Oh yeah, didnt see that zombie coming because it was off screen!
Im glad Lori is dead. Her episodes were better towards the end when she didnt speak as much.
Carl is still a pube of a problem. I just cant see him turning into a badass in 5 months because he was never one to begin with. Only 5 months and hes a killer shot with a scowl and the best decision maker now? Riiiight. Contrast to Daryl who was always a badass since birth because he was never babied. Hes got stripes, Carl doesnt. I wouldnt mind carl going away.
Herschel needs to give more influence in leadership. Hes old. Got experience. What younger man (Rick et al) doesnt seek guidance from the village elder? He needs to remind Rick that he took in Ricks clan back at the farm, so Rick needs to take in Tyrees.
Beth is peripheral but important. Shes doing a great deal to help in the capacity that she has. And shes pretty.
Carol has come around too. I think theres a real romantic relationship developing with dary on her end. Shes a worker. She needs to stay.
Merle needs to die. Hes older and more stuck in his ways and hate. He cant justify what his behavior.
Country inmate needs to talk less. I have a hard time listening to him talk. Makes me dumber.
Maggie is a worker and a valuable part of the group. Shes versatile in that shes handy with the steel, has some limited medical training, and is mobile.
Tyrees and his group make for a very refreshing and reengergizing part of the story. I like his leadership, size, and presence. I hope his group and role dont fizzle.
Andreas and her speech made me sterile. It was so bland and uninspiring. The townies just saw one of their own get shot in the head and after a few lame words they are hugging each other and singing kumbaya! I dont want her to go away, but I do want her to quit spreading her legs and then casting her lot with whoever she lets in.
Rick has one delivery and its tiring, over dramatic, intense, and sharp. He went on and on telling the pube to think, yet he doesnt use his head and makes knee jerk decisions that are so very short term. Hes not a leader anymore, but a hot head. He needs to get his ace kicked or at least shot in the leg to slow down the idiocy for a few episodes. His blow up at the end is a clear reason he needs to be locked up til he calms down. He will bring the whole group down and is playing cowboy more than he is being the public servant deputy he started out as.
Im glad Shane is gone, because he was a cancer. And everyone wanted him dead, so they got what they wanted. But that victory for viewers is short lived because the agonist stops there. Thats why theres always a new rotation of people. It seems we get what we want, and need something new.
Im disappointed in the shows direction. The last two episodes have been cheesy and uninteresting. I also do not like the mutliple storylines a la dingleberry town and prison.
