I'm a little late on this, but after rewatching the second to last episode, I still just can't believe they didn't shoot Merle. I mean, Merle yells, pulls out his gun, then shoots. A good 2 seconds or so for all that to happen. BOTH Glenn and Maggie have a gun pointed at his head and not only do neither of them shoot when this happens, they run away. It really doesn't make any sense.

Honestly, its crazy that with two guns pointed at him at close range, their little yelps and firing out of surprise, one of them didn't at least hit him if by just shear accident.

The governor will be extra pissed when Michone, who Merle was supposed to kill, shows up with the raiding party from the prison. Merle may not be long for this show.

I dont think Woodbury has as many soldiers as you folks think. Im thinking at max they have 25, especially after they lost 3 when Merle was pursuing Michonne. And even then it seems they are trying to train up young men. They only took what 8 men with the governor when they killed the reservists, they had to leave at least 8 to guard the 4 sides of the towns and let those sentries who do night watch to sleep.
Darryl will kill Merle.

anyone think after next weeks episode, woodbury might fall.. seems like a lot of gun fire will attract a lot of walkers... and if the good guys can get in some way, i bet the walkers will find a way in as well...

Michonne really frustrates me. Stop being an angry ***** and take two seconds to explain the encounter(s) with Merle.
I really hope Glen gets the satisfaction of killing the Gov after what he did to Maggie. Creepy sumbish.

I've been about 6 episodes behind, but did a marathon today and am finally caught up.
I thought the three pages on this thread that some of you idoit morans devoted to analyzing bulllet fragments was ridiculous - the writers/producers have pretty much already proven that they don't even know which end of the gun the bullet comes out of, yet some of you wonder if a dent on the side of a slug might mean that it was shot into the ground instead of Lori's skull?? Good lord...
Too bad I was so far behind as I have tons of witty observations and criticisms, but rather than backtrack I'll just ask one thing - when Merle was in the woods with "Neal" and they got attacked by the walkers, why did Merle make Neal stab the decapitated zombie in the head? Once the head is lopped off, you don't have to stab the brain.....right?

Decapitated heads reanimate, as has been shown a few times (i.e. the Governor's fish tanks).
Game over for me if they kill off Daryl.
ya they have to destroy the brain not just cut off the head. Remember when they showed one of the decapitated heads that Michionne did at the pharmacy was still moving.

Holy crap...he played Rowdy...mind blown.
My guess is that Woodbury has cleared a certain radius around their town to the point its relatively safe (i.e. you might only encounter a couple walkers, but not mass groups like Rick's group ran into at the woods).
Anything beyond that is the red zone that hasn't been cleared.

Good episode. GREAT Glen moment, definitely his best since radioing down to that idiot in the tank. 
I think Mags will be the one to ultimately get the Governor. I actually expected her to whip his ass when he got too close in this episode.
