Perhaps this guy was the warden at the prison before everything went crazy, and he's stockpiling women to turn that place into a baby mill? Idk.
I'm an admitted zombie fanatic, but maybe I'm ADD or something....I'm becoming really bored with this show. I'm not sure what it is.
Not sure why, but I actually really liked last nights episode. I've constantly hated watching the stupid **** Rick and his group do to put them in bad situations, but this govenor character seems to have it all figured out. Obviously he's a bad guy, but it's probably what's kept him alive and on top. He has no moral obligations to save anyone, He's looking out for himself and managed to put himself in a power position where others feel he's their savior which keeps them loyal and looking out for him as well. Definitely looking forard to seeing how this all plays out.
Watching the Governor he seems like he is smarter then Rick.
The Gov is doing more things "right." For instance, when they went to the downed copter, I dont think a single bullet was used. Juxtapose that with Rick's "light it up" to clear out the remaining 20-30 Z's in the prison yard. Rick's group is sprinting toward empty and the Gov is doing everything to stockpile and conserve.
I do like that they gave us time away from the prison. I think we would dislike an entire episode of T-Dawg piling bodies and Daryl watching the prisoners.

The Governor is a freak.
It seems like he has had something extremely traumatic happen to him (family picture at end?). I like the idea too that he may have been a serial killer before the apocalypse. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if he killed his wife and daughter that were in the photo.

That is what I could only think of. You would think that they would want the extra experienced soldiers.
There are only, what, 73 people there. From what I can tell they only have like 10-15 soldiers. That means there are like 60 others.
Say 10 families of 3-4, support staff (scientist, nurse, etc), then loners (elderly, stragglers like kid from S02).

Or the guy has some kind of vendetta towards the military. Bet there was some crazy executions going on towards the beginning of the infection done by the military. Maybe his family was part of that.

Of course you're not going to die just because of a little cut/scratch/bite, but whatever infection that is passed on via the punctured skin by a zombie is deadly. That's why they had to cut off gramps' leg. Then they had to save him because of the loss of blood/shock/whatever.

The lil scratch/bite is what you die from because it causes an infection that spreads and kills you. The infection from the bite itself doesn't make you turn. Dying from anything makes you turn unless its from trauma to the head.

Everyone is already infected with the disease that "turns you". How you die is irrelevant, because once it happens you are going to become a zombie unless your brain got destroyed during your human death. Now, being bitten/scratched by a zombie can and oftentimes does kill a person via extremely high fever. BUT apparently imminent amputation of the bitten/scratched area with a good amount of luck can prevent or delay death from the bite or scratch.
tl/dr:
1)everyone is infected,2) when you die you turn, 3)bites/scratches are NOT necessarily death sentences but odds are probably pretty slim

I think he got to them before they found Woodberry. If they find the compound he cant kill them.
They were holding at the rendezvous point. They weren't looking for squat.
