I think each season, including this one, has been nails.

did anyone catch what was written on the pollos hermanos lid that Jesse and Mike got back from the methheads? a message from the Mexican Cartel? did they pruposely give the meth to idiots who were likely to get caught in an attempt to put the police on the right track???

mike and gus talked about it at the restaurant. mike said that the cartel wanted to know if they were "ready to talk"

it's amazing to me the amount of hate that skyler gets. she's not done anything near what walt's done, and yet he still seems redeemable to people.

Walt is incredibly unlikeable. Can't wait til that guy gets a bullet in his brain.

Ok, I will take a stab at the Skylar hate. In a nutshell, hypocrite.

She constantly rides Walt at every turn, even at the purchase of a bottle to celebrate, yet never places any blame upon herself. She scripts a confession for the benefit of the family, ensuring that Walt has to admit a myriad of offenses, yet never has to face the fact that she:

slept with her boss, helped him cook the books, cheated a man out of his carwash business, and gladly accepts Walt's illegal money to pay for certain bills.

Walt is what he is, a hard criminal. Skylar is the France of Breaking Bad, willing to accept all the positives, but wishes to act as though she is above committing any sins herself.

MROD- thanks, that's what I was looking for. Could one argue that she's still in her process of "breaking bad"? walt's had more time to accept his route (and he also made the active decision to start cooking meth, while Skyler largely had no choice in being thrown into all this madness). Sleeping with her boss was a direct reaction to the lying that Walt had done (not saying her behavior was right, but is a bit more understandable given the circumstances). I ****ed Ted was a pretty powerful scene.

I realize that most of the people in this show are shades of black (more so than grey or white), but it seems like Skyler gets much more criticism than Walt, when, IMO, what Walt's done is so much worse than ANYTHING Skyler has done. Especially since he put their family in these circumstances in the first place.

I think you hit it on the head as to why people dislike Skylar, the other characters deal in black and white. She remains gray, which as God says, come hot or cold, but if you are lukewarm, I spew you from my mouth. I feel that it is her inability to choose a side and her sanctimonious attitude while still engaging in her own bad activities that sicken viewers. Not the level of "badness".

My two cents

There are no likeable characters in this show (kinda like another AMC show, Mad Men, and also like that show where Betty gets everyones hate, but Don is a much worse person).

Except, Walt Jr, he's alright.

That is, until the end of the show, everyones dead but him, he throws his crutches to the ground and walks right down the street having orchestrated everything a la Keyser Soze

another good example. Betty's probably a worse example because they've really given her few redeeming qualities over the past season or two. but still, of all the flawed and sometimes detestable characters on the show, she still gets the brunt of it.

It's not too scary when he is in denial and he really is scared himself. He was just trying to be the tough guy to skyler. He has major pride issues throughout the series lol.

If this was a documentary I don't think Skyler would garner that much hate. But this is a fictional tv show, and her character is often grating. And a bit boring (relative to the others in the Breaking Badiverse, of course). And there's been a lot of her so far this season. So, while I don't want to see Gus throat-rip her or anything, I wouldn't be terribly upset if she were to fall into a long coma. Ooh, wouldn't it be interesting to see Walt raise baby by himself?

Great episode. Season's really been picking up. Walt going Heisenberg on Skyler was awesome.

It sucks those 3 Honduran women are probably gonna get killed though

hopefully the rest of Season 4 continues the momentum it has built over the last 2 episodes.

Good. I prefer two short seasons than one long final season.

The more time we have Breaking Bad, the better.

Sure, the year long wait is gonna suck, but this will make for 2 better seasons, IMO.

Another awesome epsiode.

Hank was balls. I thought they had him and were going to mock him, because he figured it out and it would go no where.

I was so happy for him. I hope he brings down Walt and slaps the cuffs on him.

That speech at therapy was so good yet uncomfortable I couldn't watch it.

Aaron Paul is probably the best actor under 40. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten a starring role in a huge movie yet.

That's Aaron Paul's Emmy submission episode, for sure. It's always cool when you see an episode and just know it's the one they are gonna send in (i.e. I knew The Suitcase was gonna win Jon Hamm his first statue as it was airing).

My favorite episode of the season so far.
