Everyone can talk about the greatness of the guy playing Gus and Bryan Cranston all they want, but Aaron Paul is killing it right now.

Not sure that anybody under 40 has ever had such an acting showcase written for them in TV history.

A good one, but not great. Hardly any Cranston/Paul. This one was all about the secondary characters and while it did move things along, it wasn't that great.

Wonder what the cop will peice together reading that report!

can someone jog my memory. Why is it ok for skyler to openly negotiate/purchase a car wash, and walter can't even buy some champagne?

That scene confused me.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
It confused me a little as well.

However, I get the feeling that it was more of a set-up scene for later. Someone will do something to slip up and almost get busted.

When I saw the security camera one of my first thoughts was that they could watch the tape and basically steal his recipe by observing hard enough.

Not sure if that's the reason. Afterall, Victor knew how to cook it.

And I agree, if they can't pay the bills, how can they afford to buy a carwash?

I'm sure skyler and walt will take out a loan to keep up appearances

while jesse is literally throwing money away, I'm surprise the cops have not made a bust at his house or at least shown up to tell them to quiet down the music.

that was my thought. is he in his aunt's house? If so, I can't imagine that the types of people at his house wouldn't eventually start spilling out into the neighborhood and scaring the neighbors.

Agreed, that's been a pretty glaring albeit small plot hole.

He bought the house from his parents. Lowballed them thru Saul.

In the filming world, the owners sold the house, which is why the had to stop filming there. The new owners remodeled, and then let filming in the house again. And it made a good plot device.

So far I am disapointed in this season...

Lots of stuff not making sense...like buying the carwash, but can't buy some bubbly.

Speaking of Walt Jr, I wonder if he ends up on meth and hanging out at Jesse's party house

Does anyone know who the guy playing the car wash inspector dude was? He looked a bit familiar, but his voice sounded VERY familiar. Anyone know who he is and/or what else he has been in?

Tense negotiations are underway between the cable network AMC and Sony Television, producer of "Breaking Bad," over a deal for a fifth and probably final season of the critically acclaimed drama.

Talks seemed to reach an impasse last week when Sony sent feelers to at least three other cable networks about taking "Breaking Bad" should an agreement with AMC fall through, said two people with knowledge of the matter who requested anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the talks.

To be sure, negotiations between networks and producers are often heated. As shows age, they become more expensive as actors' and producers' paychecks get bigger with success. Both sides have in dictated that they hope to reach a pact that will keep "Breaking Bad" on AMC.

Discussions grew heated when AMC tried to convince the makers of of the show that its fifth season run only six to eight episodes instead of the typical 13. That was rejected by the creative forces behind the show, which led them to approach other outlets.

"Breaking Bad" is not the only show AMC is looking to trim costs on. "The Walking Dead," which became a big hit for the network, is having its per-episode budget cut by about $250,000. Last week the show's executive producer Frank Darabont left, and there is speculation that the budget cuts were the reason. People close to AMC deny that was the case.

AMC's push to lower costs on "Breaking Bad" and "The Walking Dead" comes as the price of its signature hit "Mad Men" is expected to go up: "Mad Men" creator Matt Weiner landed a lucrative new deal to stay with the program for at least two new seasons.

In the unlikely event that "Breaking Bad" does move to another channel, the producers would probably have to agree to make additional seasons. It would be highly unusual for a network to commit to just one season of a show it acquires from another network.

Yet AMC has the money for Season 2 that piece of crap The Killing.

I thought they were one of the few smart networks.

Bleeding money- it's long been a mystery how they even afford to pay their electric bill.

Walking Dead is the only thing on that network that's even been remotely close to profitable.

Yeah that's how Walt & Skyler explained the money to Marie. Said Walt had a blackjack scheme or something.

RE: Jesse's house. That's bothered me this season as well. It's in a residential neighborhood. Surprised the cops haven't shown up to bust the party.

Last two episodes have been slow, but it's all setting up. I still think Mike and Walt align to take out Gus. And I guess WW, Jr. has grown out of his role.

At the very least, they have had a couple of shots of Jesse outside the house and the music/party never seems that loud.

His name is Bill Burr, he's a comedian. I recognized him from Chappelle's Show. He's done some other things you've probably noticed him from too.

Does anyone know who the black cop friend of Hank is (the actor)? It's just bugging my wife and I can't find him on IMDB. We think we saw him in a small role on Lost but can't place him.
