You guys must not know many immigrant business owners. They fall for scams all the time.

Gullible people fall for scams. I don't think immigrant business owners are any more or less gullible than the population at large (if anything, they're probably more suspicious than most).

quote:
So on another message board, a few people seem to think Hank knows about Walt, or at least suspects it. They think he wasn't buying the gambling bit, and was showing Walt the lab notes to test out his reaction.

There were definitely a few moments where Hank seemed to give Walt some strange looks but that probably has more to do with the fact that Walt just fessed up to being a card shark and not because Hank suspects anything yet.

As for Walt’s loyalty to Jesse, in addition to what other’s said, he probably feels like Jesse saved his life by murdering Gale.

More suspicious than most but also really scared of getting shut down by the health department or the IRS.

I'm just saying considering this isn't a show about the car wash business they showed he was suspicious but was convinced when Skylar cited the codes he violated. And he sold because he was scared of being hit with fines.

Adios to Jesse?
And what was the deal about the chicken truck getting shot up? Who was doing all the shooting? Why would they shoot up a chicken truck? I honestly thought it was a flashback to the two cousins time...

This show drives me crazy and stresses the heck out of me. Can't wait for next week.

The car wash scam is just a minor scene to move the plotline. I think you are going overboard to say that is the show almost "jumping the shark".

Also, its fairly obvious they want to show how people can change their nature and morality due to the circumstances around them. This is another example of Skyler doing something wrong but managing to justify her morals in the process.

She seems to be quite good at it (sleeping with her boss, etc).

In the "previously on Breaking Bad" it showed the scene where Gus was talking to the drug lord boss in Mexico right before the federales stormed the place and killed him. the boss said something to the effect of "you will get yours".

In another episode prior to that, it showed gus' distribution system. He used the chicken trucks to package deliver the meth in specially marked packages.

I agree the two shooters are from a rival cartel and Gus or Mike got wind they were trying to jack his shipment. I'm guessing the truck was a dummy and Mike got lucky they shot high.

I was wondering about the truck getting shot up as well. My question isn't who was shooting, it's how did Gus & Mike know they would shoot up that particular truck on that day. Gus ships out several trucks per day. It's not possible for Mike to be hiding in all of them. And what's the point of shooting up the truck? The 2 cartel guys had already stopped it and captured the driver. Did they know Mike was inside?

Curious on that as well. I can understand them getting intel on when/where the jacking would happen, but why would the guys shoot up the truck like that assuming someone was in there?

1) I think this is showing that Mike/Gus are very well connected and someone tipped them off to prepare for this to happen.

2) The point of shooting up the truck is to send a message.

I think it's clear that the chicken shoot-up scene was specifically designed to set up a Gus' exit from the series.

WW goes to Mike to get rid of Gus and gets punched for his trouble.

Gus has an entire shipment shot up and Mike nearly killed vis-a-vis the mexican cartel.

I suspect that WW is going to try and "defect" the cartel to get rid of Gus in his typical "this should work in theory but won't work in practice" character style.

Mike had that "I'm too old for this sheet" look on his face just before the truck got shot up. In the scene at the bar with WW, he dropped the comment "why not, you make more money than me" when WW offered to buy him a drink. I think Mike is starting to hate his job.

assuming they know how he distributes his product...they capture the driver, shoot up the truck, and leave. Highly likely the cops show up before Gus knows what happened. Then they know how its being distributed and that leads them to Gus. However, they didn't plan on having Mike hanging out in there.

After tense and public negotiations, AMC just closed a deal with producer Sony Pictures TV to renew dark drama Breaking Bad for a final batch of 16 episodes. The episodes are expected to be filmed together but may be split into 2 seasons, with a final decision made a later date. With the series renewal secured, Sony TV now has to make a new deal with Breaking Bad creator/executive producer Vince Gilligan who doesn't have a contract beyond Season 4. The cast, led by Emmy winners Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, may also renegotiate their deals.

It was just money in those bags. Good episode. This is about the only show I have ever watched that makes sitting in a restaurant such an intense scene. This show is great at suspense.

The Mexican music was a nice touch also

So A drunken arrogant Walt put it in Hanks mind that it's not Heisenberg. Walt just isn't a likeable guy.

So when I called Hank a dumbass earlier, it's things like going to Gus' restaurant and identifiying himself before he was going to kill him, and then the last scene.

Gus was genius to give Jessie a purpose again.

Mine did too.

All in all this series is not living up to what I like about season 1 & 2. Basicly they are making episodes where all of 5 minutes of it actually moves the story a long...the rest is just filler.

Yes, that was the last scene. It cut to credits. Did you hear what Hank said while looking at the bag?

I changed my Dvr to go 10 minutes longer. I had to rewatch it on the replay to see the final scene.

I'm cool with a show like this going slow at times, making a point to notice surroundings, etc. But, yesterday that seemed to go a bit far. Hoping things pick up a bit.

Charlie,

I just heard him mention how Gale was a vegan/organic freak etc, then looked at the pic of the Pollos.

Hank tells Marie Gale ate free range, organic, vegan, yada yada. He looks at the Pollos menu and asks why would someone like that eat fried chicken.

The Jesse in the car part started off interesting, but quickly got boring, until he started licking/blowing on the window. When Gus and Mike were talking, "he's a hero again," I laughed my ass off.

How long before Mike just decides he's had enough?

agree that Walt's ego wouldn't let the investigation die just when Hank was ready to shut it down.

I liked the Jesse\Mike scenes, pretty clever

while watching, I didn't think it was slow at all

I agree with AggieFox. This was designed as a confidence boost and to reinstate his sense of self-worth and value to the team as well.

It could've also doubled as a test to see if Jesse really would protect himself since he didn't seem to care if he lived or died. He not only protected himself, he protected Mike and even returned to pick Mike up.

Jesse's desire to live and his loyalty were both tested, and he passed.

walton91

Mike is the key to this season. Don't know how or why yet, but we've seen more doubt, frustration and emotion than in the past. He seemed to get quite agitated when Jessie suggested that he was "the guy"
