Either way, I'm sure Walt was relieved. He may have played it up just a little bit for Jesse, but do you guys honestly think he wasn't relieved the kid made it?

Anyone got a good screen shot of the look that Tio gave Gus a split second before he rang his bell for the last time?

That look was MONEY. I've thought the dude playing Tio has played one of the best silent roles ever, and that look that he gave Gus put him in the pantheon of best-roles-ever-without-saying-a-word.

agreed. you could feel the intensity and hatred in that stare right before he starts ringing the bell. dude did an amazing acting job throughout his role in the series, but particularly this season

"Breaking Bad" isnt all about Walt.

Jessie was just a petty cook, now he is an industrialist cook who has killed and dissolving bodies. (at the end of last seaon ppl were arguing if Jessie really shot Gale "the gun itsnt pointed dead on"

Skylar was a housewife, now she is a money launderer, a tax cheat and a grifter.

Rewatched the last two segments of the finale, still blown away by how good the Gus walking to his death scene is and the scene where Walt shoots the two guys and they clean up the mess. The flamenco music is perfect. Also, the Danger Mouse song featuring Norah Jones in the last scene was money for the big reveal at the end.

BS... He was flying by the seat of his pants. Didn't know the kids medical work up, alergies, weight, or anything. Would he know the toxicity of the berries? I doubt it.

My question is what kind of a parent with a soon to be toddler would have a deadly plant in the backyard?

The scene when Jesse is being questioned by the police as to where he could come up with Ricin as being the cause, and he said "I saw it on House or something" made me laugh.

Those little nuggets of dark comedy make this show for me.

Just started rewatching this show from Ep. 1 with my brother (who's never watched before). It's amazing seeing how far these characters have come.

My bud sent me an email today with a comment I really liked.

"When Walt tells Skylar 'I Won,' that's Heisenberg declaring victory over Walt, not Walt declaring victory over Gus."

Thought that was pretty good... he probably got it from reddit or Grantland though. He's always on those sites.

I guess you could read it that way, and that certainly may have been the intent of the writers, but it seemed like he was puffing his chest. Walt's pride has motivated much of his actions in the show, and this was a time he could brag about it.

I agree, too, Doug. I think my two favorite lines from Walt in the show up till this point have been the "I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS" and "I Won."

Aka, the time he implies to Skylar how badass he is, though on a level she can't even comprehend yet, and then when he backs it up as she's been watching the news. Just shows how far he's come from the mild-mannered Chem teacher only a year or two before. (I forget how much time has actually elapsed on the show's timeline)

I think everything thus far has taken place within the span of a year, if I recall Sepinwall correctly.

(Also Holly's age would seem to back this up.)

I think within a year makes sense as well. Think of all the income Walt has been bringing in, but then he takes a huge financial hit after Sylar takes a chunk away (600k?) to pay off the tax debt. Though, he did have the medical expenses as well, so maybe a bit longer.

The baby is about a year old, so start to now I think we are at 18-20 months
