Very much so. We need wings.

2018 roster will look like:

PG: Caldwell (So), Starks (So)
SG: Gilder (Sr), Chandler (So)
SF: Hogg (Sr), Flagg (So)
PF: Nebo (Jr), Vila (Jr)
C: Davis (Sr), Jasey (So)

That leaves a minimum three spots for fish.

If you look at the breakdown above what we don't need is a point guard. Think we need to take a wing, a post, and then the best available player.

Get Mayer, Grimes, and the best center or power forward we can and call it a day.

Without much extra attrition that looks to be a pretty salty roster.

We know there will be 3 spots for sure...Trocha and Wilson both graduating, and Williams will declare for the 2018 NBA draft.

I agree that it is probably safe to assume at least other declare early or transfer decision will occur. Depending on how next season plays out for various guys.

Obviously, they could sign like 3 HS kids and then go grad transfer route again to fill in a last spot with a more experienced player.

According to 247 looks like we offered Malcolm Epps out of Spring Dekaney, who was already offered as a TE by Sumlin.

Anybody know about him as a basketball player?

Last year we received our first commit (that signed) for '17 on June 30th. Do you guys think our first one for '18 will be before or after that date?

Good question.

Logan made some cryptic comment about recruiting on the radio. Something like "a&m is right where they need to be for the 2018 class and things will start to come out when they need to come out."

Sometimes I get the impression that Logan is more of an insider with respect to our basketball program than anyone else at TexAgs is with respect to any of the other programs.
