IN 2017 I was getting lucky getting downtown right before 6pm, when several streets open up for street parking. I could park 3 blocks from Min Maid for free at 6pm.

Gotta time your route to be right where you need to be at 6 on the dot because the spots fill up right away

Street parking around the jury duty garage after 6PM on weekdays is free. Do not confuse it with the 3HR max parking though. There is no signage, just gotta walk up to the parking meter and have it tell you its free or that its like $0.47 because you parked at 5:35.

Never found any open spots during the world series though.
