Cole was nowhere close to the top 10 all time strikeout seasons.
Maybe I read it wrong, but during the game they posted a graphic on TV that showed him top ten for strikeouts in a single season. Nolan Ryan was on the list a couple of times. Maybe it was the American League only, but I swear it said most strikeouts in a season.
I do know he set the Astros record for strikeouts in a season.

Cole would be considered to have the 13th most strikouts in a season by most anyone who would list the records. Almost all records like this are typically compiled starting from the beginning of the "live ball era" in 1920.

If it is Astros vs A's in the 1300 game, that is a total slap in the face to both fan bases. Astros vs Rays, I understand, but putting two AL west teams in the early slot is bullcrap.

I went to a game there a few years ago. That place really is a dump. Shame too. The place is right next to the water and could be great, but lots of industrial yards next door, cargo trains and container trucks galore. Like they stuck a stadium on Jacintoport.

The city has completely changed the traffic flow around the stadium already. It is going to be a CLUSTER F friday and saturday.
