Goes along with the prelim report I mentioned the other day that said only two shots were fired by bikers and the rest by the police.
Sounds as if the police had a definite strategy to respond at the first sign of trouble with overwhelming, suppressive fire, and it's easy to extrapolate that into a situation where excess force was applied, out of "an abundance of caution", to use an ironic term. Such excess would be easy to cover up or justify, after the fact. That may well be what we are looking at here.
Edit to add: but they may have squandered any good will they may have had with the Public with the manner in which that decisive action has been followed up by obvious trampling of civil rights of the "witnesses".
