Face hunter, secret paladin, mech mage, tried any fin paladin...
I try lots of things. I have deck a.d.d
Part of my issue is I don't have all the cards to make each of those decks complete. I have been able to get up to 12 without them, before, though.

I got to 15 last week and haven't played ranked this week. The first several days it was always the legend players trying to get back to legend.
I don't have Tirion so my secret paladin deck is lacking but it still gets the job done. Mech mage was a deck that I couldn't ever get to 10 with. It was tempo mage that finally got me to 10 and secret paladin that got me to 5 the last few seasons.
2 seasons ago Patron was a big help. I'm missing 1500 dust to do aggro shaman.

That said, "viable" is really a matter of perspective. I doubt much of us are actually trying to get to legend, and a malygos deck would work well enough if you're just trying to rank up.

I was reading some reddit discussions, and thought this needed to be shared. Talking about druid being a good class or not.
This season has been rough on me. Yesterday i had a 7 game listing steak and today a 5 game one. Made it to 10 yesterday before the losing streaks and may have capped out.
I swear this game is rigged. My win % when I'm 1 win away from advancing a rank is like <20%.
I'm going to add the rest of you I didn't add before, so if you see friend requests, it's likely me.
This season has been tough going. I've peaked at 12, but I've mostly been playing entomb priest which is new to me. If things don't get much better I'll finish out the season with zoo.
I've tried zoo, midrange hunter, face hunter, control hunter, tempo mage, secret paladin. Maybe next weekend will go better.

And the other joke is about no RNG in magic... There's RNG, just not nearly as much as there is in hearthstone. MTG games often come down to what did you/opponent top deck vs. did you flood or manascrew in round 2, vs the other guy getting the god draw for a turn 3 combo kill.
There's RNG in it, but it's all about the shuffle & draw, not about the computer giving your opponent's mad bombers a laser focus board wipe whiles yours smacks you in your own face, taunting you.

Now I realize why I missed the joke. Having never played Magic, I didn't know what MTG meant.
If they want to make the game more esports friendly I feel they'll have to reduce the rng. Drawing cards is already accepted rng, especially with only 1 of a legendary.
I couldn't imagine being at the hearthstone finals and lose because a card randomly didn't ping what you wanted it to and lose thousands of dollars.

I think Blizzard realizes that RNG was becoming a problem. The discover mechanic was a good step: offer some randomness but still with a choice. Many of the more problematic RNG cards will be phased out when standard begins.
Joust cards increase RNG quite a bit but thankfully don't see much play. Perhaps Blizzard even made a conscious choice to underpower those cards in order to reduce randomness at the competitive level.

I'm probably topped out at 10 this month, maybe get to 9 tonight. Wins are hard to come by after getting to 5 the last couple of seasons.

Terribly. Peaked at 14, lost a whole bunch, and can't get back.
I literally lost six straight the other night and have not played much since. Sitting at 14. This season's been quite annoying. Combo Druid everywhere.
Up 28-2 against what I think was a Face Hunter (he couldn't ever get anything going) when he played Reno.

If he didn't have board presence then it was likely a control hunter. I've got a version as well that's a Reno deck. It's fun but suffers mightily against control priest.
Every match I've lost today has been because of that stupid card. Another match just now with no minions on the board for him and he goes from 3 to 30. Its totally killing fast decks.
Taunt kills the fast decks too.
