The issues with party chat are not router issues, they are on the Xbox side.

I never had a single issue with chat on the 360 and I'm using the same cable modem and router.

If I want to join a part chat after booting up BF4 or to join a party called "BF4 Party", I have to:
Turn off Xboner
Log in to my router
Turn UPnP off
Power cycle router
Turn UPnP on
Power cycle router
Verify UPnP is on
Turn on Xboner
Join Party
Enable chat

All of this after performing successful network and multiplayer connection tests from the Xboner settings app.

Otherwise, I can join a party and chat just fine if I do it prior to booting any apps or games.

I would consult your physician before you turn your xboner off and on like that in the future. Once should be enough to do the job.

Anyone seen any news about headsets for the XB1?

We've moved the system into our main living area - on the big TV - and I'd like to be able to play late into the night without waking the baby and the wife.

Got around to playing yesterday. Game is awesome, when it works. But it's broke, unfortunately. Will keep trying to rank up as long as I can accept being outside the menus as much as inside the game.

Anyways, yall are gonna have to show me how to join the party, etc.

Was in BR for the game, and been playing games since I've been back. Not sure I even have a feel of how the xbox1 works yet and all its features. been to busy playing.

yesterday was the worst with connections and getting kicked to the main menu, most of the releases as I can tell for headsets say early next year and they are also suppose to have an adaptor for my turtle beach xp500 around then also

There are a few hacks on how to solder a headphone jack onto the existing stock controller mount thingy.

I'll probably do this next weekend to give the wife and dog a break from the 5.1.

Open friends, select the friend that has a party going and select "join party".

The party snap window will open. Enable voice chat, and then say "xbox unsnap" to close the party window. When you join the party, xbox will auto invite you to the game that everyone else is playing. Right now those invites are annoying and don't really work, so join from BF4 instead. Select multiplayer in BF4, and the games that your friends are in will be listed. Verify the correct game to join and select it.

Turtle Beach will have one by then too... that's because the mic adapters aren't ready until then. The way I understand it is that the turtle beach headset is wireless except for the wire going to the controller. This is not only for voice chat but it also receives the games 5.1 audio from here as well. The cool thing about the turtle beach is that you can unplug the mic and the headphones will work as a good pair of headphones for your MP3 player.

I will have to read up on the polk audio headsets.

I expect that we will see this, along with the ability to join specific friends w/o joining a party in an upcoming update. They're getting a lot of flak for how hard it is to join.

When I first started setting everything up, I went cable box to XBox One to Receiver. Not happening. I think it's going to take some time to get everything fixed.

i first ran mine to game 2 nothing soi input it into the cable/sat and it worked (cable to xbox to receiver)

During one of my last Xmas breaks, I stayed in college station a little longer than most cause I had to work... went to Best Buy and bought myself my first stereo system, cranked up the sound in my empty apartment, and proceeded to play the crap out of Donkey Kong Country on the N64 for many hours over a few days.

Really havent had much of an issue with the launch, think xbox has been fine for the most part.

I was driving by the gamestop, noticed barely anyone was there, so I walked in. I then saw that BF4 was only $25 and happily came out with it having gone through no Black Friday craziness.
