Negan should have been dead 10x over if everyone didn't suck at shooting him somehow

First, nobody at all from Negan's group even got hit with a single bullet? Especially Negan, who I'd bet most of the group would have been aiming at.

Then let's waste all of our limited ammo on shooting out windows? Ridiculous.

In real life, Gabriel would shoot Negan immediately.

I can't believe nobody injected a round into Negan's head when he was standing outside on the platform. Rick even said they only had to kill 1 person to end this. All those rifles with magnified optics trained on that door, the 1 guy they need to kill presents himself on a silver platter, and nobody takes a shot.

This season premier was one big let down.

-Negan's home base is now surrounded by a horde.
-Good number of scouts have been taken out.
-Rapid response team taken out.
-Outlying base(s) taken out (the satellite building with the arrow shots)

I rolled my eyes at Negan and his top captains coming out too, but did anyone REALLY expect them to be taken out?

The "gunfight" was really confusing.

It appeared like they were aiming for the windows and for a split second I thought the RV was going to act like a ramp to get the zombies in through the windows.

They had the core group of Saviors literally lined up for a firing squad and did not take advantage.

No one ever runs out of ammo on this show or needs to reload? And I would assume that bullets would be at a premium since, you know, they aren't being manufactured. Nevermind, lets show those windows we mean business.

So does anyone know why they shot out the windows?

Also Tara with that twizzler stick acting like she's some badass...kind of looking forward to her death now. I hope Lucille has one more victim and it's her.

..after not taking the clear easy shot when you had it, presumably and inexplicably because you wanted to give Negan's first officers/captains a chance to live, you surprise everyone by stopping the countdown short and spraying bullets towards Negan and his officers... after inexplicably missing all them, you have Negan basically trapped in a cage while you pelt him with bullets and you stop because the ***** priest reminds you that your master plan of shooting out windows and then leaving is much more important than killing Negan. It's not about you, Rick!


it has gotten bad, but i feel like i have to see this one through just because i've gotten this far.

couple other things from last night: was old man/ conditioned beard Rick living with a still young Michone? what if Daryl, while shooting a handgun while leading a motorcycle escort for a zombie horde, missed one of the explosion shots set up to direct the horde? would he turn around and go back and try again?

As someone who watches this show like I watch Texas football - for the ridiculous insanity and comedy - I thought MAYBE they could have an Indiana Jones moment. Big Bad walks out and BAM right in the middle of one of this dumdass lines where he leans back on the 4th word he takes one in the neck. Blood goes everywhere and Dwight pops the others. Boom. Done.

Then I realized these writers THINK they are on the level of Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul or Game of Thrones. They aren't. So they come up with this garbage.

I also feel like I have to see the show through. But it's getting really difficult.

The story has come down to characters making terrible and inexplicable decisions in order to move the plot forward. When that fails then they fall on cliff hangers.

"Hope you brought your sh**ing pants" has got to be one of the worst, cringiest lines in television. Gabriel should have shot him in the face for that line alone

This is what happens when you don't really have an end goal. The show is just going to keep spinning its wheels and recycling the same things over and over, with the quality level ever plummeting

This might have been the worst episode in the whole series.

1. Maggie seems to be taking her pregnancy remarkably well. None of that rotting flesh or blood seems to bother her pregnancy nose. Or stress. Oh, Judith has grown 6 sizes but not Maggie.

2. The battles speeches were awful, only Ezekiel can get away with that kind of corn.

3. None carrying a gun and only a metal handrail for cover. Rick's guys had automatic weapons and they couldn't tag one of Negan's officers?

4. Rick would have either shot the hungry dude when he's crazy Rick or captured him when he's normal Rick. If he was one of the saviors then how stupid would it be to let a scout go? So they go from killing all the lookouts and scouts to shooting a bullet in the air bringing about more walkers?

5. I see they've completely resolved their ammo issue. No one seems to care.

6. Once Negan found out Gregory was useless, he'd bashed his skull in in front of the other survivors.

7. Gabe's whole talk about one man, then confronted with one man, cannot shoot one man.

8. Tara, so edgy, give me a break. Apparently everyone on the show knows the finer points of rigging a bomb. Rosita? Maybe. Not Tara.


This was some seriously lazy writing. They've gotten to the point where they know they are so successful that they don't even have to try and still make money. Victory has made them weak.

Generally - when the aftershow is as long or longer than the real show, Every week; you're way too impressed with yourself.
