That channel is f-ing weird. I watch some of the syndicated shows on it and the commercial breaks have weird 'bumps' that make it sound like it's run by a bunch of frat boy, weed-loving lowbrow guys that refer to each other as "bros." It's like they made a channel just like what Spike TV used to be ("Television for dudes!").
It wouldn't surprise me if the parent company executives acted like d-bags towards women.

Yeah, there have always been reports of that company basically being just a big frat / drug den. And now with this, I'm hoping there's either some major reformation or it just goes under.

No, not at all. The office culture is apparently somewhat fratty, but that doesn't come across at all in the reporting. Way more "intellectual" hipster than anything.
I read the entire article and it goes into more detail, and it sounds like there are some bad dudes there...but that wasn't exactly a very big hook that a girl who had just started a job was invited to celebrate an award with that media company...and during after hours celebrations at a bar where they were all drinking...one guy talked about his chances of hooking up with other girls at the bar, and the other passed out.
Not a great way to welcome a new employee...but also not the most alarming or crazy "after hours work" story either.

On Ronan Farrow breaking this story....NPR Fresh Air had a segment this week that I happend to catch where they were interviewing two female journalists from the NYT. They were advertised as the journalists who broke the Weinstein story and went detail on the accusations. No mention of Farrow.

IIRC, he did, but his paper wouldn't publish his story. So he took it to another media outlet. In the mean time, the original paper that wouldn't publish his, published someone else's about Harvey, right before farrow's new media source did. I think.

A parallel could be drawn to NFL football players....pretty sure all of them know there's a chance they could have serious brain injury down the road if they elect to play. With that knowledge, why do they keep playing?
With that known, I'm not less "sympathetic" to a player that suffers down the road (or death/suicide). Also, many changes have been put in place to minimize these types of injuries. I think Hollywood is entering that realm now. Good news for Hollywood, at least that I'm aware of, there haven't been any actual death involved.
In both worlds, there were some that decided to "play" and came out unscathed. Some didn't.
