FANTASTIC thread that will restore your faith in celebrities (if you ever had any to begin with)...

To add to the list, personally, Anne Hathaway, Kirsten Dunst, Bryce Dallas Howard, John Legend, Olivia Wilde, Rebecca Romijn, and Jerry O'Connell are some of the nicest people I have ever worked with or met.

I was once doing a photo shoot with Rebecca Romijn, it was the last set up, and her husband Jerry O'Connell was there to pick her up. He was just casually sitting on the ground against a wall. I started to break down some of the hair and makeup and whatever else I could while they were getting the shot and Jerry got up, came over, and started helping me out. I told him to sit down and he insisted. For the next fifteen minutes we tag teamed the entire set, packing up and handing equipment off to each other. Dude was so cool and down to earth. Will never forget that.

Can you tell Anne that I'm available as a stunt double?
No joke, I get told I look like her weekly and when I waited tables it was at least once a shift.

I'm loving this thread.

edit: the twitter thread of nice celebrities, not the thread we are currently on. This thread is kind of a nightmare. You guys are great, but the content is yick.

Another one that didn't happen to me but happened to one of my best friends is one of my favorite stories ever. Just before The Hangover came out, my buddy and a few of his friends were at a Zack Galifainakis stand up show in Hollywood. It was just a few blocks from their house and afterward they were waiting outside for a friend still in the bathroom. Zack happened to be leaving the building at the same time, walked right by them, and they jokingly invited him to their house for drinks. Well, he accepted, and actually walked with them the couple blocks back to their house. He stayed and partied 'til like 3 AM and got so drunk that one of the girls had to not only drive him home, but picked him up the next day to come back and get his car at the comedy club. The best part, though, is that the next morning when my buddy got on his computer, iTunes was opened and Zack had bought over twenty P.M. Dawn songs. My buddy got pretty drunk as well, and vaguely remembered Zack sitting at his computer and DJing the night before. Cracks me up still thinking about that.

I have no idea, what should it be?
I would so literally do this. Or be her decoy like some celebs do to avoid paparazzi (i can also do the rap that she did on Leno or whatever cause a friend asked me to)

Ha, all I know is that those stand ins can make a living at it. Especially the ones who stay with a certain actor from film to film. I was just listening to a podcast with Jeff Bridges who was talking about his stand in of something like 30 years, if not more. Made it sound like they were best buds.

I call BS.

There's no way there's 20 PM Dawn songs on iTunes unless there's 19 remixes of Set Adrift on Memory Bliss, probably half of which are by Skrillex.

Actually we want you to remake the "I Dreamed a Dream" scene from Les Mis. We need to see you in full Hathaway mode.

Other actors I'd be shocked by would be Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen

The red carpet will be interesting this year, I can see many, many avoiding it altogether.

Another one for Seagal. Not sure if the rumor is true but I was told that he lost a TON of money gambling and now he makes movies to pay off his debt. The mob backs the movies and keeps whatever they make. I hope that its true because I want to continue to see his crappy martial arts into his 70s.

McCarthy was asked to undress auditioning for Under Siege 2. That's the movie where Katherine Heigl played Segal's daughter.

Heigl was 17 at the time.

I wonder if he......................ugh. Never mind.

Garth Brooks might be the nicest entertainer I ever met.

He brought me pizza after a concert in College Station in the early 90's.

I was the only female on the crew for Rudder Theatre, so I always got the easier jobs: wardrobe, setting up the good luck charms on stage, vacuuming the carpet and rugs of the stage, getting coffee.

Well because I was taking care of his stuff he asked my name and what I was majoring in and told me stories of his time in college.

I was there all day doing stuff, so I never left. After his show, he comes in with a pizza for me because he was concerned I hadn't eaten all day.

He told me he got cheese because my rainbow colored hair and tie dyed shirt made him think I might be a vegetarian.

I thanked him and scarfed down the pizza. I was hungry.

Heather Graham was a tender lover who let me down gently when filming wrapped. Probably one of my top three favorite costars.

This is how you respond to allegations. Come clean, make no excuses, apologize, and show a genuine desire to be a better human being. Do those things and you'll likely get a second chance at some point down the line (it also helps if you don't rape someone or prey on underage teens). I truly hope he can come back from this, not just as a comedian, but as an improved person...

Hope so. At the very least, he's already shown to be a better person than Weinstein, Sheen, or any of the other creeps who have done nothing but deny, deny, deny.

Rebecca Romijn

We were walking head on towards eachother in LAX about 10 years ago when I was pretty fresh out of A&M...pretty empty corridor and I was solo and pretty much the only other people were the two dudes behind her which looked like some type of bodyguards. I remember thinking that I had to say something smooth or funny as we passed each other so that I could tell all my friends back home. I froze up, couldn't think of sh** and made out the most awkwardly mumbled "Heyyy" which must have sounded more like "Heeuuhhhh". It lacked any and all confidence but she gave me a polite smile, almost as if to say "you poor thing". How do you butcher the word "Hey"??? Still somewhat embarrassed to this day.

She looked amazing in casual duds without a ton of makeup caked on BTW.

I betcha he starts going to support group and whatnot.

THAT will be an interesting interview with Jim Norton to say the least. I bet he actually reaches out to Norton to talk to him on a personal level about all this.

She's on a Netflix show called Flaked with Will Arnett, actually kind of interesting if you're into the Venice/Cali vibe.

I can relate. Shania and I had a good thing going in Nashville for about six months but when her first album actually started to take off, well, I knew I couldn't hold on to her much longer. It was bittersweet but she was destined for much bigger things.

I actually told that to a group of British women at Ceasers Palace and they took it hook, line, and sinker. My wife and I were in the fourth row right in front of the stage. We had just done one of those wedding re-vows on our anniversary so I was in a suit and my wife was all done up. Anyway, Shania walks in to the crowd, walks, right up to us and says "what a great looking couple you are" and just starts this conversation with us during the show. When she is about to walk away I said what, no hug? And she walks up with her arms out and say go for it big guy. So I literally picked her up off the ground (was NOT handsy). She laughed, gave my wife a girl hug and got back to singing. So as we are leaving the Colosseum, this group of British women is walking out with us and asking me if I knew Shania, and I just went right in to the whole "oh sure, we dated for awhile in Nashville before she hit it big" thing. My wife rolled her eyes so hard she about injured her neck. But I swear they believed every word.
