I don't think Houston Aggie was an Aggie. I think he said he went to Rice.

BMIX has potential but nothing special.....we ain't getting off crude oil for at least another 20 years, maybe longer, this green stock crap is nothing more than like the dot com fad a few years ago.
Stick with XOM, Phillips, Holly, Marathon, Valero, NS, etc. they will continue to grow as the economic grows. Notice how more and more stations are closing pumps due to being out. Notice the price for gasoline has gone up 20% in the last 45 days?
Summer is coming, look at LUV.

Well atleast he was honest about that. Maybe subconsciously I was just thinking if its on this board, we have the same motives. Like i said, I am beyond embarrassed.
At this point I just dont know if I hold onto it and expect some sort of miracle rally or just cut my loses. I tell myself that surely it cannot go any lower, but who knows....

Either way, HA said he was holding long term. Long term might be 6 months or 6 years. I have no idea who HA is or what he knows and my wife laughed at me for taking stock tips from some random guy on the internet.

Of all the bad decisions on this thread, telling your wife ranks up there. Anyways, I got to run to a shareholders meeting.

I'm sorry that you are down right now with more than you are comfortable with. Whether to sell or hold depends on your entry point. I'm down quite a bit as well on both. I don't care what other posters say about losing inconsequential money. I don't enjoy losing money, even if that only means I'm out $500.
As I've posted before over the last couple of pages, there are other forums with 1000's of other stockholders that discuss both of these stocks. Some of them make very intelligent points on why these stocks are still good investments. Both companies could have some positive information come out over the next few weeks/months which could vault the stock a large amount in 1 day. No miracles needed. My ASTI stock went up 105% last Monday based on information about a project with NASA.
Unless you need the money right now, consider leaving it there for the next few months. Check on it once a day or so rather than constantly watching it.

I'm really sorry to hear that.
Position sizing and risk management is key to successful investing and staying in the game long term.
I recommend "Fooled by Randomness" by Nassim Taleb. I wouldn't give up hope since investment really isn't rigged. But there are snakes out there.
If you have done any study of influence or have experience with persuasion and con men techniques, then I think HA's posts present some red flags. I cast a lot of doubt on HA.
It may seem counter intuitive but being hyper detailed is one sign. And another sign is HA dropping the stock ticker over on the politics board and saying that he works for a hedge fund, that is a bit out of the norm and other posters called him out. Other details being dropped like specific numbers, personal details, reminded me a lot of MF Barnes socks. If you don't know, MF Barnes is a notorious internet con man who has fooled this board multiple times. Not saying HA is MF Barnes, but it wouldn't shock me.
Online you really cannot know if anyone is telling the truth, and you need to verify as best you can with your own research. Myself and others shared what we could find to pose a counter perspective demonstrating that what is actually public doesn't look great. And also to remind people to only take small positions.
Another good book that explains what actually makes a good stock to own is "One Up On Wall Street" by Peter Lynch.
If you were to compare ABML to the basics in that text, you would find ABML is extremely high risk with price action completely disconnected from the company's financials or news releases.
There was a famous con man who sold France's Eiffel Tower, multiple times. Really he couldn't sell the Eiffel Tower, but his fleeced targets believed they were buying it. The bigger the lie sometimes the easier it is to sell, that's one principle of con artistry.
Check out Coffeezilla on YouTube. He exposes so many online scammers, it really helps you learn to spot scams.

Maybe there's not much to say when you invest 10 geezers, watch it hit around 300k and don't sell. You can't recover or justify that kind of stupidity.
I have no idea if I got swindled or not etc, I'm just going to sit on it for a long time and see what happens.agdaddy04 said:

In case anyone didn't bother reading the slide deck linked I found this slide interesting.
I never had a problem with this stock, America company with potential is what I wrote. This one is worth putting a $100 on so it can be watched. If it starts growing, I may invest more.agdaddy04 said:Ubitag said:
