Paul Pelosi is on the board at ABML.

Biden talked on climate today. Just reinforced that we needed more US mining and EV vehicles. Very positive news but overshadowed by GME scandal.

I am late to the party but have binge read this thread. I am beyond intrigued at this point. HoustonAggie, if you dont mind me asking, what percentage of your trading portfolio are these two stocks? Everything is relative but 250k of a 5mm portfolio for example maybe isnt that crazy....

I feel like if I reveal that, I'll be attacked once again. I'll just say that its a good chunk of my stock portfolio, which is not balanced like your Grandpa recommends. I do own several other kinds of assets however.

If your point is to find out how much a loss here would hurt, it would hurt. I don't listen to other people. I do my own research using a Bloomberg terminal. Once I feel comfortable I set targets for entry. Then I invest. I buy low, and wait all the hype out. But I'm 100% confident that as this thread unfolds in the future, I'll be able to share more and you will see how the long game is played.

I hear you. I have ignored the hate because they have disappeared, and the staff took some of the posts down I think. I made the mistake of posting my email, and the people who had it were mostly just asking for help, but one guy threatened to call my firm and tell them I was day trading while at work. So you can understand why I'm cautious. I want to help people, and in addition, this is causing me to stay involved, keep researching, etc. I feel like I owe it to people to keep advising.

What is tour thought on the range of a high upside on each stock? The obvious downside is a goose Egg and everyone should understand that. This is speculative. But are we talking buy BMIX for a nickel and hope for a dime (and maybe even a quarter)? Has ABML seen its big run and those buying now should hope for a max case double? Just curious of your thoughts on where they could go. I totally appreciate your research/comments and obviously don't expect you to predict the future here. Just curious on how high you potentially see both going on a long play. Or is this a buy the dip and try to get a 50% pop on the swing?

And obviously a double or 5x is a huge return but also weighing against penny stock risk. In other words can these still be ten baggers!

Not to derail, but I assume there is no way to PM you? Off topic, I would love to get some career advise from you to pass along to my college age son. He is sort of all over the place in the world of finance but I think his ambition is ultimately very similar to what you do for your hedge fund. He really doesn't have much interest in being a Trader.

As I posted on the politics board, ABML is backed by some very heavy hitters, and the composition of the board will be eye opening once the company name change and uplist are complete. Pelosi is Nancy's son, and was just an advisor and a name to raise money I'm sure. Melsert is the talent.

Thanks for the source.

That doesn't give me much confidence.
I think ABML is shady with all of their name changes. They don't know if they are a mining company or a recycling company. Being too many things at once is a red flag for a small start up with limited resources, shows a lack of focus and direction in my opinion.

They claim 140 million profit in one year of operating their pilot plant. I'll check back in a year to see.

https://freebeacon.com/politics/company-cofounded-by-paul-pelosi-jr-charged-with-securities-fraud/

The SEC said Natural Blue made "various material misrepresentations about the company, its contracts, and its anticipated revenue in a February 2011 press release as well as on a website and verbally to investors."

There is some dispute over Paul Pelosi's current connection to the company.

The New Mexico Office of the Secretary of State Business Service Division currently lists Natural Blue as a company "not in good standing," with Pelosi listed as its president.

Pelosi cofounded the company in 2009. The SEC said Natural Blue's mission is to "create, acquire, or otherwise invest in environmentally-friendly companies, including an initiative to locate, purify, and sell water recovered from underground aquifers in New Mexico and other areas with depleting water resources."

I couldn't disagree more, and my holdings show that.

This "small start up with limited resources" has a market cap of $1.58 billion.

1. Patents, permits, and land to recycle and mine lithium
2. A board of highly connected people, talented techies, and former Tesla execs
3. Favorable political winds.

By all means you should avoid it. And please come back in a year. I'll be here.

The patents thing I am curious about - their prospectus filed recently said clearly that they hold no patents.

Agree with this. As previously mentioned, I took a flyer on this last week and am definitely up in my position. However, Houston has indicated they hold 10s of patents a few times and this is in direct conflict with their prospectus. I'd like to see a source for this claim.

It does say that have internally developed technology and a recycling process so maybe patents pending?

I will dig up the count tomorrow. ABML keeps hiring people with patents. They fast track them as "trade secrets" to be able to use them quickly. I believe it's 34 patents and counting. It's also documented several times in this thread. I just can't dig it up every time someone asks. I have a job, a wife, a 20 month old son, rental properties, etc. I'm doing my best.

The name change is coming next week I believe. It's been publicly announced and it's in one of the early videos on this thread. The uplist is just math. They will qualify and the CEO said they have already applied.

From what I can find, it's not Paul Pelosi, Nancy's husband, that got named to Oroplata's (now ABML) Advisory Board, it's Paul Pelosi, Jr., who is Nancy and Paul Sr.'s son.

Furthermore, that was back in 2016, and the most recent news I can find about Paul Pelosi, Jr.'s involvement in the Lithium industry today, is him being named to the Advisory Board of Altair International in Dec of 2020, which appears to be a fairly direct competitor to ABML.

Is there anything besides a Yahoo profile to back up the claim that Paul Pelosi, Jr. is still on the Advisory board of ABML? Because if not, it would seem to me that he has left ABML in favor of Altair International.

Good morning, I'm going to be gentle.

1. How many times do you think it was mentioned (including just a few posts above yours) that the person on the ABML board was Pelosi, Jr? I see 3 times in the page above alone.
2. You don't leave boards and go to other boards like you leave Walmart to go work at Target. You can be on multiple boards.
3. What was Pelosi, Jr's role? Is he a genius with patents like Ryan Melsert? No. He's there to grease money (which was needed last year). Was this already mentioned? Yes.
4. He was listed as an advisor to the board because of his contacts in Nevada, mostly from years of being connected to the Reid family and associates. Guess what, permits granted (which if you read, are kinda tough to get).
5. I keep alluding to a new person joining the board and a board shakeup. Your questions about Pelosi will soon be publicly answered.

I'm all about helping people and I think my efforts demonstrate that. If you have genuine questions and are trying to invest in the stocks, I'll continue to put forth effort to help. If you want to play Scooby Doo and practice some "gotcha" journalism, from now on you'll be ignored.

While it may be possible to be on multiple boards, it is uncommon for one person to be on the board of two companies that are competitors. It's bad governance as there is no way that person could effectively represent the interests of both groups of shareholders.
