FWIW regarding BMIX, this guy identifies a couple of reasons why BMIX has a chance to be a special investment. His post history indicates he has made a large amount of money on BMIX so far, sold most of it, but still holds a small amount and has possibly added more.

So I guess it's two different interpretations of what they were trying to convey with this statement in December v where things currently sit in March:

ABML has not demonstrated its value. It is a speculation "vision" stock. I would say its worth is equivalent only to the value of the land that is owned.

They don't even have a building permit. There is no way they are going to build a facility and recycle enough to generate $180 million in revenue this year.

There is also additional competition entering the market (ie VW battery recycling announced and starting up).

ABML can still be a really good play long-term, but they're going to drop as they weather some of these market announcements and hiccups along the way.
