Plenty of good discussion on this thread, but there are a few folks that feel the need to come over here and gloat. Like we all don't already know that these were risky trades. We don't need a reminder. We get it.
I think it is more than that. I think a large part is due to the fact that HA has all but disappeared from the board after the stocks he was touting have tanked. If he was still on here after the dump I think the tone of the thread would be completely different. I think there are a lot of people on here that usually dont play the market that jumped in to these stocks as well because they were being pumped on at least one other board as well. Couple that with the fact that HA is a relative unknown on TA and it there are just too many things that are ripe for the picking, so to speak.
HA bailing is a big part of it, but even before he disappeared he was a big reason why practical discussion failed. Any posts questioning his opinions about the company, or citing evidence contrary to what he said was met with argumentative dismissals, accusations towards motives, and at times flat out insults.
I found myself in his crosshairs a few times after digging into his claims and finding that they weren't quite as advertised, and there are a few posters that I think just like to join in a dogpile once one starts, and eventually I gave up sharing my opinions because I got tired of the blowback.
I kept following the company though because I do think there is going to be a growing need for domestic lithium production, and I think ABML has enough positive attrbutes to warrant keeping an eye on. But at the moment, I think its WAY overvalued, and underfunded, which means they're either about to take on mountains of debt, or dilute the crap out of their shareholders. And I want to see how they're going to fund their growth/construction and let the valuation adjust accordingly before I decide if it's going to be a good play for me to participate or not.
