Pigs have gotten smart and seem to have made the connection that can-am noise equals death. Decided to go cheap and quiet, and picked this baby up for $60 on fb marketplace. Hope to get to put it to use in the next couple weeks

When I finally got old enough to hunt by myself in the early '80s, I asked my grandfather if I could take my bike to the deer lease. He thought that was a crazy idea. I countered and said I could ride that bike and get to the stand faster (most of our stands were at least 3/4 of a mile from cabin) and it would be quieter than me walking on my flat leather-soled boots.

Long story short - when I rode up behind him one day without him hearing me, it scared the bejeebers out of him - he finally conceded.

The next week he took an ancient 10 speed to the lease for him to ride.
I’ve seen them play since way back when,
And they’ve always had the grit;
I’ve seen ‘em lose and I’ve seen ‘em win,
But I’ve never seen ‘em quit.

Suzuki X90. Same frame and 4x4 drivetrain as a Tracker but with a Barbie car shell

Dang- $60 is a steal for that fat tire! I can't wait to hear how it goes.

I did some turkey hunting in the mountains on a bike (cheap Walmart bike) for a few years. It was a good way to get to remote spots before the roads opened for the season. I used some ATV Gun mounts to make a rack for my shotgun across the handlebars. It worked very well.

I'm interested to hear how this goes. I've been considering and electric bike to make it out to different blinds. $60 is a steal.

Better get some tire seal in those tires where you hunt. You're still big enough to make those fat ones go flat.

Planning on it. Do I just use the same slime as you'd use in like a ranger tire? Or is it a different for bike tires

If it works in a ranger tire, it should work in a bike tire.

I'm not sure they still make them, but the foam (no-flat) inserts they used to sale would work best imo.

Patrick MacManus, he has a whole series of books. Started reading them 30 years ago. They are hilarious. The Grasshopper Trap is probably my favorite. Must read for any boy who loves the outdoors!

No, but my grandfather used to tell stories like that. I'm still learning.

My favorite story of his involved his grandfather who fought in the cavalry with Blackjack Pershing in Mexico after Pancho Villa and later in the Philippines in WWI.

The story takes place in the early 1930s after he had retired from the cav . This pretty much predated any game laws or seasons and license requirements. Anyway, he went walking down the road from his house hunting deer for food late one evening very close to dark. He sees a doe and shoots it. He goes to pick it up and carry it home when two headlights come on. The game warden announced himself and said he was under arrest. My Great Grandfather shot out both of the headlights and said " I'll be damned if I'm under arrest, I shot this deer because we need food. You can try to come and arrest me if you want, but I wouldn't suggest it,"

With that, he continued on to his house. Game warden didn't follow.

He was known to have a hot temper and was one of them old men nobody messed with

I have no idea and was just joking. I'd avoid that if I were looking to actually buy something
