Back on subject, I got bored last night. L-R: 604, M16A1, C7, 653, souped up M4, long range, and early M4 (in the works). Not pictured are a 601 that is in the works that I am still collecting parts for.

I've been eyeing the Stag Arms Model 1 and the DPMS' AP4 Panther Carbine 16". Anyone own these models? How have they worked for you? Any mechanical problems from extended use?
quote:Yesterday was mine and my girlfriends one year anniversary, all I have to say is she got me an EOtech 512 with the LaRue QD mount for my AR......
She bought you an eothingy instead of an aimpoint? Break up with her immediately.
Went to the Amarillo gun show today and was surprised at the high prices on everything but AR parts. Was tempted to buy a stripped S&W lower since I couldn't find a Beretta Px4 for the price I wanted.
when i went to the mesquite gun show a couple weeks ago it looked like the prices had gone down on ar's, they had one for less than $700 too... should have bought it and sold it to one of you suckers
just an FYI for you guys looking for a plinking gun. Academy has Colt M4s (colapsable stock & removable carry handle) in 22LR for $579.99. I looked at one tonight and the lower has .22LR stamped on it, so I dont think that they are 223 lowers with a .22LR upper on them.
If anybody has any knowledge on the subject, can a lower stamped .22LR have a 223 upper placed on them?
The academy that I saw it at was at the corner of Voss and Westheimer in Houston.
The Colt Umarex M4's aren't AR lowers. Check the "pins", they're not even really pins. It's actually plastic made to look like pins. They actually don't even use the AR conversion mags (Blackdawg, etc). They are proprietary to the Colt guns. In essence, it's a Umarex airsoft gun modified for rimfire.
