Range Report v.2
Took it back out with my final remaining ammo, 12 rounds of Black Hills and 12 rounds of Wolf. I had cleaned and liberally lubed the rifle about an hour before hand. As a before hand, it's clear that I did not hit the target all 24 times, I have no explanation.
The red group is the Black Hills group which I did from prone with iron sights at approx 50-60 yards. I rested the handguard on a sleeping bag while I held the mag well. Side note: We have since decided that the first grouping that was with a scope (see earlier post) was done at the same distance and not the 100 yards assumed.
The grouping appears better than with the scope, or at least there is some semblance of it being a little tighter as apposed to the enormous spread I got with the scope. That in my mind is good news, meaning that there is a problem with my $50 scope and not my $800 gun.
The green group was 12 rounds of Wolf at approx. 25 yards doing what I call a "quick draw" drill. Squared up engaging the target... gun up, fire, gun down... and repeat. I did it with iron sights and since I don't know what good actually is for such a drill, I think I did ok. I'd like to hear yalls thoughts on both groups.
On the bright side, I've put 90 rounds threw it (40 Wolf and 50 Black Hills) and have yet to have a jam or FTF.
