EA is going to have to re-balance the difficulty settings altogether IMO. You can mess with sliders but they don't seem to make a huge impact from what I have experienced so far

I cranked the user sliders to 100 dropped cpu sliders to 40 and still can't block fcs directional school much less teams with good dls. Also dropped the speed adjustment to 10 and my 97 speed wr still gets run down by 70 speed dts on the regular.

Blocking is infuriating, even with the sliders.

As you mentioned, guys getting beat off the snap repeatedly by guys that are 10+ points lesser rated, but also just the AI. I repeatedly have plays where my blocks are set up perfectly, but then a guy will just decide NOT to block the player that is right in front of him. It's insane.

This game has potential to be so good, but so often the places where it fails, it fails really, really hard. Also frustrating how often you're running through a massive hole, only to have some completely engaged DL jump 2 yards over and suck you in for the tackle at the LOS.

one thing I started getting yesterday was the original LOS moving if I was tackled by a dt. I thought I was going crazy, but I got tackled on the 29 after a touchback and had 2nd and 10 from there. Did it again later. Drive started on the 25, picked up 8 on first tackled at the LOS on second, had 3rd and 10 from the 33.

Had me second guessing myself

I had this happen one year with Rice. I also sim recruiting. Is there a way to do it without it taking so much time? I don't have time to spend 20 or 30 mins each week of the season managing that.

in the preseason go after kids that have you 1st in interest
scout and move gems to the top of your list
offer scholarship
send the house until you get a visit
after visit change send the house to hard sell.

And then pray.

That generally locks down 10-15 4and 5 stars until you can unlock the auto sign passive and get a bunch without trying

I watched a DT go literally untouched when double teamed for a sack on a 3 step drop the other day. He just floated around the C and G. It wasn't even a P5 team.

My favorite is the lb knocking the ot into the center allowing the opposite side de a free shot on the qb because everyone picks up the dt that dropped

In my second year of a dynasty as UTEP. Started 2-0, with a big matchup against the sips in week 3.

Held them to a FG on the opening drive, then went 3 and our, got a stop and scored to go up 7-3. And then they became invincible. My WRs dropped everything, was getting burned over the top repeatedly. No chance of running the ball. Was down 24-7 at the half.

Got the ball, 3 and out. Then decided to sim to not waste my time listening to "Texas Bites" on loop.

Somehow we came back and made it 31-32. Managed to pause the sim just in time to realize we had failed the go ahead 2-pt and I selected regular kick, and with no timeouts and 1:12 left on the clock, there was no chance of winning, so I simmed the last minute instead of watching them kneel.

Somehow we got the ball back and beat the sips 34-32. This game is so broken, but for once I'm fine with it.

In my latest season, Kansas State beat Boston College in the national championship. Both teams had 4 losses, yet somehow still got into the playoffs.

The simulations are wacky as hell. The game does not want you to blow teams out apparently, even if you are categorically superior across the board

This game has been really fun to play on the couch with my son and his friends, but I have yet to get started with a Dynasty. Seeing the comments here and seeing some things with my own eyes... I just haven't been compelled to invest time into it outside of a few casual vs. games.

There is a lot to love about the game, they did a really great job in some areas. But overall something just doesn't feel right... it feels like there is merely an illusion of control. In some ways it feels like the game does what it wants regardless of what you do.

I have a dynasty with A&M, I went into Bowling Green with undefeated. Bowling Green QB came out playing like prime Tom Brady, he was 18/18 going into the 4th quarter. The Bowling Green D had 6 interceptions and 3 were pick 6's. They broke up no less than 7 passes, most of which required a Defender to jump about 8 feet. Their offensive line completely shut down any pass rush. I quit and played it again to test it. The second time was a completely different story and Bowling Green played a lot more like their ratings.

I can't figure out if there's some algorithm in dynasty to make certain random weeks harder or if the code is somehow messed up to where teams aren't playing like their actual rankings on occasion.

New update

Back to the way it was in play aspects before previous update.

Fewer INTs
Rushing is WAY easier
Put up 63 on both VATech and BallSt to start season
Recruiting seems a bit easier too

Still getting sack but only 50% as much

I know the old ncaa games would do that periodically. They would just decide that you weren't winning no matter what and you would enjoy it

Anyone have an issue with dynasty where your settings don't transfer into the game?

I switched to tap and tap kickiing at the main screen of my dynasty but damnit if I don't pooch a kick at the start of the game because it defaulted back to tap and hold.

Also presto when I press R2 (PS5) the clock and score screen disappears. Not really ideal when you are trying to call audibles and can't see the clock.

Good to hear that the difficulty might be fixed with the new update

I've been having the same issue with the clock/score disappearing in my games as well. Very frustrating

If you hit start to pause the game, then go back to the game, the board will be present again, but it gets really old, really fast. My muscle memory always looks at the play diagram as I'm running to the line, so I lose the stupid scoreboard every single play.

There are definitely issues with dynasty, but I'm certainly still having fun. I wouldn't let us complaining some dissuade you from playing.

This has been broken since launch. I do the same thing pretty much every game because I can never remember to go into the settings in the game menu to change it.

Anyone here play CUT?

I was excited to try it out because it seems to be the only game mode where you can play with a friend on your team...I got my team up to an 82 overall and played with a buddy and started out 3-0.

Then we ran into a team that had Vince Young, Garrett Wilson, Jonathan Taylor, DeVonta Smith, Micah Parsons, etc....the guys were trash and we beat them the first time, but they got us after the servers matched us up with them a second time in a row.

The game after that, we paired up with a duo that was cheeseing the triple option...it was so frustrating. They would lag the QB behind the RB and basically pitch it forward every play.

I have also encountered that almost every time I play online on CUT, players are exploiting a glitch on the kickoff that is also incredibly annoying.

having fun with dynasty again. that patch that made me throw 3 INTs a game sucked but it seems better now. really love what they've done with recruiting, its a great puzzle/math game.

its not perfect, but it is an NCAA dynasty with A&M and the most fun i've had with a video game since probably RDR2.

If a major patch comes in the future, will it apply to existing Dynasty saves?

I'm thinking about starting one soon, but someone who played Madden a ton told me he remembered there were patches that were so extensive, that you had to start a new "Madden Franchise" for all the changes to take affect. (I guess the Madden equivalent of Dynasty mode) I just don't know how accurate this is.

The last big patch had this requirement (fixing the FCS teams loaded with nfl rosters). I assume any major patch will have the same requirement, but who knows with EA

Not sure if it is by design, but I never really blow teams out right out of the gate. When I do win by multiple scores, it usually builds on itself with momentum. When my running backs start getting ***** yards 10-15 yard runs and I hit short crossing routes and take my time.

When I try to always strike big like you could in the old games, it rarely works and you start to build bad momentum. QB goes cold, run game doesnt click.

I really like it from a realism and challenge.

I think that started after the last big patch. I know originally teams would become superman when I started building momentum, now games start fairly even and I start pulling away late, except the last minute of the 2nd quarter where even FCS northwest Eastern Southern blow up every play with a 3 man rush. That is still broken a F.

Don't schedule visits, the math don't math for visits.

Instead once you get the prospects 3 green checks immediately start the hard sale and use the gained 10 hours to work on other recruits.

Just pulled in 35 kids for the number 9 ranked class with 0 5 star players doing this. Best class I've signed by far.

Most ridiculous game in 8 seasons.

Have a ATH QB that I moved to HB for SR year, has 97 speed and 92 acceleration.

Run sticks with him on streak route in outside receiver position. Computer can't adjust. As long as line gives me time, almost 6 every time.

i usually start hard selling when i get to 2 green checks. two that match will only match with a third green check once or maybe twice. if its a unique group where the two you know only match with one other pitch, you've figured out the third green check.

if the two you know match with two other pitches i pick the one where my school has the highest grade in the third one. and hard selling unlocks the pitch so you find out the next week if you picked correct.
