I had this happen one year with Rice. I also sim recruiting. Is there a way to do it without it taking so much time? I don't have time to spend 20 or 30 mins each week of the season managing that.
scout and move gems to the top of your list
offer scholarship
send the house until you get a visit
after visit change send the house to hard sell.
And then pray.
That generally locks down 10-15 4and 5 stars until you can unlock the auto sign passive and get a bunch without trying
Don't schedule visits, the math don't math for visits.
Instead once you get the prospects 3 green checks immediately start the hard sale and use the gained 10 hours to work on other recruits.
Just pulled in 35 kids for the number 9 ranked class with 0 5 star players doing this. Best class I've signed by far.
I will add - a big bonus is if you follow the recruiting coaching tree and can unlock 60 total hours for a few or all positions. Or be paired with a HC/assistant coaches that also have this in their coaching tree.
Once they narrow down to top 5 and green checks are known, start using sway (I'll usually combo sway and soft sell their ideal pitch for a total of 50 hours + DM for another 10 to use all 60 if needed). Once sway works and you can get 4 (or continue to use it and get 5) green checks, then both hard sell a recruit on one pitch, and soft sell another using your newest 4th green check for a total of 60 hours. If you're a top program that has B+ - A in most categories, this is an amazingly strong influence. Admittedly harder for G5 schools that won't have many high categories, but will still get bonuses for comboing hard+soft sell
