Kill him before he 'named names' regarding what? the large number of folks on their board of directors and executive team are just eating popcorn watching this drama play out or are literally behind a murder hit of a co-worker?

His hotel was across the street from where the conference was held. Thompson just walked he didn't need a town car.
He still should have had someone walking with him.

Guy who Works in private security says they are paid by the company and do what the boss asks. Says for example he had a guy who would make him wait in the car while he shopped inside a store. Obviously it was better if he went in store too but the boss is the boss. This isn't Secret Service.

So…this CEO may have simply told his security guy that he didn't need him because short walk between hotels in mid-town New York and that was that. The hired security help would have done what they were told.

My son in law is a Surgery Technician at a hospital with a Level II trauma center. He is very opinionated about the state of healthcare today, believing it's more about profit than the needs of the patient.

He firmly believes this was an inside hit...that quite possibly he was about to talk to the Feds and name names.

Not saying he is or is not a conspiracy nut, but thought it was interesting coming from someone who has been in healthcare for 15 years.

No disrespect but every commercial business regardless of what widget they are selling are in it for profits.

Insurance companies are in business to sell insurance and make as much money as possible. Insurance companies are not in the healthcare business, that's what the hospitals are in business for. Insurance companies are in the insurance business.

Day 4.
NYPD found a bag in the Central Park.
He took a taxi to a bus station then left the city.
FBI is involved.
Still no ID of him by the authorities.

Some questions, did we see him riding the bike into the central park? Is he carrying the bag? I've seen videos of with and without the back pack so is the footage without the backpack after he left the Central Park?

Where's the bike?

He rode the bike to Central Park and ditched it there. Cameras lose sight of him when he is in the park and he ditches the bike there and so haven't seen any reports that the bike was recovered. I imagine someone rode off with it. Cameras pick him up as he exits the other side of the park and he no longer is wearing the $350 backpack so cops knew he ditched it in the park. There was a pond near where the backpack was found, I wonder if they are going to troll it looking for the murder weapon.

I bet there weren't a whole lot of those designer $350 camera backpacks sold, I would guess FBI is calling the manufacturer tracking down that angle as well.

The UnitedHealth Group holding company based in Minnesota has 440,000 employees and hundreds of executives. And the health care system machinations and politics is far bigger than that one company. If the motivation here was lashing out at a broken system then killing this one guy is as pointless as removing a finger from a bucket of water and hoping the water is different than before you stuck your finger in it.

All this accomplished were a family lost a son and brother, and two sons lost a father etc. It was senseless.

Because of how targeted this was and how the killer seemed to have precise details of the victim's location & movements…this feels very personal and the motivation somehow connected to that very specific man…something more specific and personal than simply 'a health care claim was delayed or denied'.

Somebody just Lashing out at that healthcare company as a whole I think you'd much more likely see an attack against their HQ building - fixed location target - not something as intimately complex as a 'hit' on a single individual like this.

No matter the motive, this changes a lot. BCBS already changed their stance on anesthesia payment, many high profile executives online profiles have been taken down and many investors meetings have been changed to online. Unintended consequences perhaps except the anesthesia case.

This could spawn a congressional hearing. I hope so. Even if nothing comes of it, public sentiment of the Healthcare insurance industry is now more visible and evident.

Fortunately I've not seen any anti gun violence group uprising over this case, yet.

It's absolutely real. The B&T VP9 is influenced by the welrod pistol used by the OSS, the VP9 was originally designed to be simple, reliable, concealable, and ultimately quiet pistol for clandestine operations. This ultra-quiet 5-round pistol is the ultimate silenced platform. Both pistol and suppressor were developed simultaneously to produce the quietest 9mm pistol possible. Also by design it's not accurate from distances because it has no rifling in the barrel. It's designed for point blank killing. The entire barrel is a silencer and along the barrel holes have been drilled permitting gases to escape into the expansion chamber, releasing the gases so that the round that is being fired never reaches supersonic speed even with standard ammunition. This produces a noise level below 120dB when using standard 124 grain NATO ammunition. This sound reduction can be further decreased as much as 4dB by using subsonic ammunition. This noise is about the same as a car door closing. So even the ballistics are skewed by design. The OSS operators could stick it in the small of a targets back and shoot someone in a crowd and other than someone falling down no one realize someone was shot. As a veterinarian weapon they use them to put down a large animal that they are unable to just chemically euthanize and they just put it up to the animal's head and bang. So people claiming the NYC shooter was a bad shot because he shot him in the leg first aren't taken in consideration that this type of weapon is highly inaccurate.

Correct in assuming they don't know who this guy is. The FBI has added him to their most wanted list and produced this BOLO digital poster. If you look at other BOLO posters if they know the name of other most wanted they post the name of the person of interest or whatever. This guy's poster has basically nothing

Bus stations have video cameras. If he boarded and get off the bus in Atlanta they likely have that info. Also if they interview the bus driver and ask him if he saw the guy how many people wear a face mask for a multi-hour bus trip? I think I would recall that.

Wait you mean there are 22,216 Greyhound Bus stations in the US and they all have cameras okay. And just out of either sheer coincidence they chose Atlanta to find this guy out of the hundreds of people who use Greyhound? That some serious police work right there. That blows away CSI CODIS Dick Wolf TV magic. It's amazing they even have an American Most Wanted lists when they have skills like this!!!! Or why there's literally millions of cold cases backlogged that they are unable to solve….

You would think that just one of the millions of people who are convinced that greed is the only thing preventing a more compassionate insurance company would start one and provide that product. And even if they only make 1/10 the profit of what the current greedy ones make, they'd still likely be very rich and would corner the market as well with their excellent product. They could then use this to offer better pay for their employees as well (since they're not greedy and definitely wouldn't want to keep the money themselves). It's a win/win/win/win. Better coverage for people/better health care/better jobs/professional success and a sense of making the world a better place. And yet no one does. I wonder why that is?

Probably for the same reason all the people who would like to make all the money they can don't go and start an insurance company.

Conversely, you're pretty trusting and assured they're doing a top notch job. They have a couple pics released where the guy doesn't look the same and isn't wearing the same thing. I get it, maybe different days... sure. But if they are able match him up to greyhound cameras, where are those vids/pictures? I'm not nearly as confident as you are that they basically have this all wrapped up and are just waiting for their time to nab him

People wear masks all the time now post COVID. That's a point I made on page 1. It's not an unusual thing. I see people everyday wearing masks and think nothing of it. Bus drivers see hundreds of people each day.

Also, he was already videoed with his mask off, but he boarded and wore it on his trip to Atlanta?! Seems unlikely. That makes to sound like he wore it during and right after the crime on his getaway, but was not concerned enough to wear it all the time.

Was each of those passengers round trip? Because one of the Fox affiliates reported he came from Atlanta. I'm just not buying all these reports.

I don't know if y'all know this, but it costs a lot of money to hire a hitman. And would cost SIGNIFICANTLY more to take out a target of this individual's prominence, to the extent it's even available. Like a lot more. So this supposed individual can't afford out of pocket care for something serious but they CAN afford a hitman to take out the CEO of one of the largest healthcare insurers in the US?

How do you square this circle?
I would say the hired hit theory makes more sense if trying to silence a whistleblower.

No just pointing out your absurdity thinking that the authorities know more than they actually do. You obviously have ZERO actual LE experience and believe everything you've heard on Dick Wolf productions on TV, yet this guy is reportedly still "at large". That's a long bus ride from NYC to Atlanta my guess is at least 24 hrs minimum. Why weren't they waiting on him to get off. If the FBI knew all this and it went public via the media you can bit they knew at least 12 hrs before the media, they should have been waiting on him to step of the bus or even pull the bus over and drag his ass off by your absurdity. Newsflash Columbo 80 % of crimes are solved by investigators waiting on perpetrators to screw up. The rest is mostly sheer luck.

If the FBI are such geniuses where's the J6 pipe bombers? They rounded up 700 plus people from all over the US for whatever and they have yet to produce anything on the bombers.

Law enforcement releases information about crimes to make themselves look like they know more than they MAY actually know SOMETIMES to take the heat off of them when they produce zero results.

We will see if they produce and actual arrest on this guy but I'm doubtful. And to be honest I will lose no sleep one way or another

Good lord Fox had this idiot Darrin Porcher, a former NYPD lieutenant, saying the police have far more information about the killer who murdered the CEO than they've released to the public. Of course they have not a revelation but then Porcher predicted on "Fox & Friends Weekend" that it will be "days or even hours" before the suspect is apprehended, noting that he has "blinked on several occasions" and left evidence for investigators. "I think that when we look at this backpack, for example, based on the puffiness it is clear that it is populated with items. And what's going to happen is the NYPD is going to transport that backpack to their crime scene lab in Jamaica, Queens, to conduct a forensic investigation on the items that are contained in that bag, because those items can be germane in establishing an idea for who the individual in question would be," Good lord why is this guy not already in custody? I tell you some of these experts the media hire are amazing
