He should have read more of the Grey Man series and he could have gotten away with it

The strange thing to me is that he was still wearing his mask at McDonald's. The best images of the killer were masked pictures highlighting the huge eyebrows. I bet if he wasn't wearing the mask at McDonald's, no one would have recognized him. The one maskless image at the hostel looks like Jake Gyllenhaal. There is no way the employee would have put those two together.

Why stop there, should someone assassinate Jamie Dimon because they're pissed they didn't get a loan or they are pissed because of bank charges?

So what other wealthy executives of for-profit organizations deserve to get gunned down like a dog in the street as vengeance for an unhappy and abused world?
Gun Manufacturer CEOs?
Defense Contractor CEOs?
Alcohol Producer CEOs?
Casino CEOs?
Hollywood CEOs?
Media CEOs?
Oil & Natural Gas Company CEO's (destroying the environment!!!)?
Tobacco Company CEOs?
..
College Football Coaches?

People will do bad things at the slightest provocation. Nothing new.

What did the CEO do? The top institutional shareholders and BoDs have more to do with UNH profit incentives/policies than their spokesperson CEO.
Unless Thompson was outspoken about screwing over customers, I don't see how anyone can take this position about the shooter "having balls".

The McDonald's employee who called him in and the police who arrested him seemed fairly certain he was the killer just from the pictures circulating in the media. I wonder at what point his family and friends figured out it was him. Especially since he seems to have gone underground for the last few months.
Personally, I question the McDonald's employee thing and the circumstances around his capture that are being reported...it just all seems too perfect/quick/convenient...borderline lazy.torrid said:

As someone else mentioned yesterday, it could all be cover for unconstitutional methods used to track him down...think NSA and what they can do (and who knows what tools they really have at their disposal?)...and societal concerns or implications that could arise if too much information was revealed. Who knows...our government and every organization they are affiliated with, including the US media, lie to us CONSTANTLY. No clue who or what to believe anymore. I just know they are almost always lying or meddling.
even when our intel/security state tracked down over 1,000 people who dared to take a selfie near a certain building 4 years ago, I thought it was widely known that they had subpoenaed access to GPS data from AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc., guest data from Hilton, Marriott, etc., flight data from United, Delta, AA, etc., customer data from Uber, Lyft, etc., so they could use all the data analytics for their man hunts. Assuming everyone already knows our security state could do the same, at least with cell phone data, for this guy, why try to hide their methods or stage a phony McDonald's employee method of capture?El Gallo Blanco said:

Is that really a picture before busted? Zero chance he got busted from wanted pictures.
Guess we will know the truth with the reward. Won't the McDonald's employee be receiving 50k FBI and 10k NYPD (unless it increased and is more than that). Should be open records shouldn't it?

Good points, just wondering if there could be tools that we do not know about (maybe involving AI) that they would not want broadly revealed to the masses. Who knows. Maybe it happened exactly as reported. It's just so hard to believe he could be so stupid, unless he wanted to get caught (more likely than sheer stupidity and zero street smarts imo).oh no said:even when our intel/security state tracked down over 1,000 people who dared to take a selfie near a certain building 4 years ago, I thought it was widely known that they had subpoenaed access to GPS data from AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc., guest data from Hilton, Marriott, etc., flight data from United, Delta, AA, etc., customer data from Uber, Lyft, etc., so they could use all the data analytics for their man hunts.
