Absolutely stupid if this is the actual guy. But given how he's eluded police this seems off for him.
McDonald's guy has a pistol with a suppressor on him....

He probably showed it to the cops who stopped him? I doubt ID is needed for the Happy Meal.
Maybe he wanted to be caught? If he wrote a manifesto and had it with him, sounds like he was waiting to be caught.

If he's moving around to evade police with minimal possessions, it would make sense that he'd have what he views as most vital or important on him at all times. That way if he has to bug out or his hiding place is raided, he won't lose what he sees as irreplaceable.

If he was unhinged and still felt he had unfinished business to do with more names on his list than he would want to hold onto the gun and fake IDs. Those aren't easy to replace for an average person on the lam.

Only thing I can't make sense of is why he only got as far as PA.
Was his fake ID under the name Mike Johnson and that matches what NYPD and mayor had his name written down as being?
Let's admit, the guy was either extremely lucky or was pretty clever. I just don't see how he leaves a backpack with monopoly money and plans everything so well to get busted in a PA McDonald's after using a fake identity while in possession of FOUR fakes, a "ghost" gun and suppressor, plus a handwritten manifesto.
Maybe he was just an idiot but if this all comes together, what's the betting line on him suddenly finding himself unalived before much of anything is said
