A little hyperbole not allowed here?

Besides, I chose those words because it's the worst series I've watched to completion. Any other instance with something so truly awful, I'll just pull the rip cord. I stuck with it because Star Wars, but life's generally way too short to spend on crap like that.

I do that all the time out of boredom, most recently with Titans. That show is like watching the Vespa gang full time.

I absolutely was. It had been a long day.

It's mostly the colossal mismatch of expectations vs reality we all had. I get that Disney has had several stinkers in the Star Wars universe, but with their resources, something like this really shouldn't happen.

My wife's brother works for Disney+, and she's been pretty merciless.

I actually had that discussion with myself while watching Last Jedi, except it went "This is terrible and I don't enjoy it. I'll stop now." Still haven't finished Last Jedi or started Rise of Skywalker.

If you leave the cartoon world, there is more mediocre to bad Star Wars film/tv then there is good.

This season seemed like a fun story to give a bunch of fan service while giving the next season of The Mandalorian a plot that makes sense. Really liked some bits of the season but didn't like others. Overall was pretty fun though.

The Mod gang seemed like rich Coruscant youths banned to Tatooine. Just seemed really out of place.

To clarify, I still watch the hell out of my "mediocre" tier and find all of those very enjoyable, given that I love Star Wars.

Really it's just TLJ, TROS, and Solo that I've never really felt the urge to just pop in and watch.

I'm with you on TLJ and TROS but Solo has slowly grown more interesting in the last few months because of the rumored tie-ins to the Mandoverse. However, if they only happen to be rumors, then I will chalk my interest up in Solo to being inflationary and will gladly demote it back to the bottom tier.

I think in their effort in TROS to appease people that didn't like TLJ they retroactively made TLJ even worse to the people that did like it. TLJ grew on me to the point that I liked it, but then they undid everything in it.

It's like if you made a decision to turn left instead of right, everyone that wanted to turn right and/or predicted we'd turn right were pissed, then you turned around, pissing off the people that were okay with the decision to turn left, and instead of going back and turning right went in a whole different direction so now everyone's unhappy.

Very dad-level move.

Tier 1 (greatness)
Empire Strikes Back, Rogue One

Tier 2 (very good)
Star Wars (1977), Return of the Jedi, The Mandolorian

Tier 3 (generally considered an unfortunate misstep that I don't return to often if ever)
Literally every other Star Wars movie or TV show.
