I liked it… didn't love it.
Asoka looked great, loved the bait and switch by R2, I thought Luke looked great. Love the character of the Marshall, hated the deputy. Cad Bane looks sweet, but I can honestly say I don't know anything about him. Watching order 66 through the eyes of Grogu. Yoda s lightsaber vs Mandos gift of beskar-mail….. you can have a weapon such as a lightsaber, but you can't have a possession that will protect you is kinda silly…. Reminds me of the gif (why not both)
With 1 episode left I'm afraid there's going to be a lot jam packed into the all out war with the pikes/syndicate.

You called it.
I knew nothing of Cad Bane before your post, but he's now my favorite "new" character, and they could not have translated him to live action any better. Dude looks so cool and is the first legitimately scary villain of the franchise in a long, long time. I need an entire series with this guy at the heart of it.
And while de-aged Luke still isn't quite "there" yet, man, he looked/moved sooooo much better than he did in the Mando S2 finale. Hiring that deepfake specialist really paid off. To the point where I'm hoping they go back and redo last year's appearance. Whenever Luke wasn't talking, he looked utterly believable/photo-real. And while the mouth movements were certainly improved, that's the only time he still looked a little iffy. But it feels like we're only a year or two away from even that being totally figured out.
It was like the tech advanced a decade in a year. (Okay, half a decade but still.)

I am avoiding this thread like the plague until I actually get to watch the episode tonight….but dang it I went to IMDB to see the episode rating…..last weeks got a 9.4…..todays got a 9.8!!!
I am going to be SO gosh darn distracted until I get home to watch with the kids….saw the title and we've already had a discussion on who the stranger is coming from the desert….
My oldest said Cad Bane was in an episode of clone wars where the word "stranger" appeared in the title so when I told him Filoni was directing this one then he got really excited….

Holy cow that was nuts. I honestly can't believe these last two episodes are the same show as the ones before. So many intersecting plot lines throughout the Star Wars chronology.
Still get some uncanny valley vibes from Luke but it was a lot better.

On a side note, this is another episode where more exciting characters are brought to prop up a boring show otherwise.
But if this is a middle of the season episode, how nice will the season ending be? How many more episodes?

Luke looked FAR better in this show. Seriously, maybe the best deepfake/CGI I've seen yet.
Loved the small hints at the Force theme and Yoda's theme at the end.
I haven't watched all of Clone Wars save for a handful of episodes, and most of the final season, but it's cool to see those characters pop up in live action.
Ahsoka mentioning Anakin to Luke really hit me for some reason. Loved that.
So what do we think on Grogu? They're teeing it up for him to return to Mando, but it's almost too obvious right?

This weeks episode was another banger! Seeing Luke, Ashoka, Cad Bane, all of it was fantastic. I also hope Cobb Vanth is around more, I really love his character
