I think we would all rather deal Springer. But it all comes down to what the white sox want. And that will probably be Bregman. I would hate trading him away but if he goes to bring in Sale, I'd probably do that.

Edwin's spray chart the last 2 years. This doesn't give distance, but I can pick out about dozen or so balls in LF that appear to be far enough to be dingers at MMP.

I'd guess the home run down the right field foul line was at Yankee Stadium which should be a good indication for how far down the left field line you need to go.

Man...if we sign his guy, I'm going to be really tempted to see who here would want to split season tickets a few ways.

Do not want anything to do with Beltran. I think last year was his last good year.

I don't think he can replicate last year. He's going to be 40!

Encarnacion would be a huge get. I really, really don't want the front office to include bregman in a trade for sale, though. I don't think it would be worth it.

Look folks... breggy could be the second coming and the best player in the game in 6 years (though obviously, PROBABLY not).

Even if this is true, and you trade him for sale and make a legit run for a couple years, it's absolutely worth it.

I'm visiting the park tomorrow so they can try to talk me into it. I'm definitely interested.

I understand this, but really like Bregman, and I dislike Slale's petulance. This is why I don't work for the front office.

Just for everyone's reference regarding Bregman's potential...

Yes, he did get off to a 2/38 start when he was called up last year and that counts for something, but check out his numbers from Aug 6 (when he busted his 2/38 slump) and Sept 14 (his last game before his injury):

AB: 158 (not an insignificant sample size)
AVG: .310
OBP: .380
SLG: .652
OPS: 1.032
HR: 8 (~32 normalized to a 600 AB season)
RBI: 32 (~128 normalized to a 600 AB season)

I do agree with others that IF Bregman is the only way to get Sale, we probably have to do it. But I would much much rather trade Springer.

Sale has 5 years under his belt. He's finish in the top 6 in the cy young every year. His worst season he had an era of 3.41 and less the league in Ks. We're talking career era around 3 and have started 26 to 32 starts a year.

I can find a lot of players with great 150 AB streaks that aren't good players. Were sticking our head in the sand to ignore the poor start too. Bregman may be the next big thing, but I don't see it based on last year's sample.

I don't think anyone is doubting Bregman's capabilities or ceiling. It's the fact that you can trade for one of the top 5 pitchers in baseball. Can you imagine if Keuchel returned to 2015 form and you had that 1-2 punch. That's Schilling/Johnson-esque.

There's no difference in scoring 7-8 runs if you're holding your opponents to just 2-3.

I referenced the poor start in my post.

And yes, please do bring a list of rookies with 150 AB samples of that caliber that didn't turn out to be good players. I'm not saying they don't exist. I'd just like to see the proof.

EDIT: I'll help you out... Yaisel Puig would be a good example

I'm out on trading Bregman.

I'd trade almost anyone but him Jose, and Correa.

I honestly think Bregman is going to be a better offensive player than Correa in the long run. I know that sounds crazy.

I need to hear what else were giving up for Sale besides just Bregman.

I assume if we give Bregman we don't have give up as much I'm terms of other pieces. As opposed to giving up Springer where I assume we'd have to give up probably 2 arms in addition.

Bregman + Reed + 1 arm (Musgrove, Martes, Paulino)

Or

Springer + Reed+ 2 arms

I guess what I'm saying is giving up Bregman may hurt but it may be worth it in that we save some arms back down in the farm system.

What's our outfield look like if we gave up Springer? Reddick in right, Aoki in left, and Marisnick in center? Gurriell plays left pretty often too?
