Things that make news now.
I actually love timely bat flips in big spots, but I agree. Better be damn sure it's a homer. And the showmanship better not cost your team, like Odor's nearly cost his.iBrad said:

Yuli Gurriel has a special guest instructor this week to help him get more familiar with playing first base: newly elected Hall of Famer Jeff Bagwell.

"Yuli's going to start at first base," Hinch said. "He's going to be a guy who can contribute and be an excellent everyday player."
I'm actually okay with this if it prevents Hinch from constantly trying to go to lefty-righty matchups...Ag_07 said:
It didn't dawn on me until today but when the team breaks camp Sipp will be our only lefty in the pen and him and Keuchel are the only lefties on the entire staff.
Hell after the most recent move of a few guys to MiL camp there's only one other lefty in camp and he's a non-roster invitee.
I think this is relevant. We don't have a whole lot in the pipeline either (Cionel Perez seems to be the highest rated and he's at least 2-3 years away from the bigs). Would be nice to have a good situational lefty to help neutralize some of the LH power hitters in the west.Ag_07 said:

Devenski is good at getting lefties out also with that nasty change.

Neshek is the same as having a lefty. We're fine.
Because other elite closers are either on different WBC teams, or simply don't want to pitch in the WBC.Mr.Ackar07 said:
How can Neshek and Gregerson do so bad (or so average) with the Astros and still get picked to be on Team USA to close out the 8th and 9th?

Odor made another error playing second last night. I wonder where they'll stick him next.

So now we know Altuve is a better 2nd baseman and a better 3rd baseman than Odor.

Wonder if the Venezuelan team plans on hazing (forcibly masturbate) him because of all the errors.
It doesn't really matter where they play, Altuve will always be better.Ag_07 said:

Since Altuve is playing 3rd in the WBC, just like Correra, should we consider moving him there to free up a spot for Bregman?
But I'm sure many on here would prefer Leyland to Hinch.iBrad said:
Sucks that Bregman finally got to play, goes 2-for-3 with a walk, and is back on the bench tonight.
