today is not a good day for Houston I just heard that the trade for Asik to New Orleans now is in limbo because New Orleans doesn't have the cap space what the f*** is going on
Bosh, Harden, Howard is a pretty damn good Big 3. I personally think Parsons and Lin are one dimensional jags. Jones and Beverly are solid. That's a contending team if they can figure out how to play defense together.
Parsons is not one dimensional. Nor is he worth $15M per year either though.
Parsons has the ability to play defense. He utilized that his rookie year and sporadically since.
Poirier said Cleveland expects LeBron's decision in about 15 minutes, 15 minutes ago, and new LeBron's website is incredibly bogged down.
Lebron is such an attention *****. He's going to milk this as long as he can.
This is great theatre for those of us sitting on the sidelines.

Interesting. They also cannot give the Bosh the Max and still match Parsons.
I know we can sign Bosh without giving anything up if we clear cap but what about doing a sign n trade with MIA. This way we don't have to worry about getting it done before the 72 hour deadline. We can match Chandler then finish deals to get rid of Lin and Asik. I realize it's easier said than done but it's another option to look at.

My thoughts as well. With Miami potentially losing LeBron and Bosh, they might be willing to take on some expiring contracts and assets.Regardless, they have a lot to do and can't truly start until LeBron decides, unless Bosh suddenly grows a pair.
If you want Miami to take on Asik and Lin's $30mm next year after they just paid through the ass and didn't win a ring, my guess if you are giving up Beverly and Jones, too. Probably some draft picks as well.
Here's the article that explains why the Rockets cannot give Bosh the max if they match on Parsons (even if they get rid of everybody else on the team).

The Rockets could come close, offering $83,088,781 over four years. Bosh’s max with Houston is $88,151,588 over four years.
Maybe Bosh doesn’t care about that $5,062,807 difference. If so, more power to him.
However, he was reportedly dismayed by Miami lowballing him. I’m not sure he’s running to Houston on a discount.
And for the Rockets to offer even that much, they’d have to dump several players – including starters Patrick Beverley and Terrence Jones. Bosh would replace Jones at power forward, making that departure less of a big deal.
