It's wild that Belgium has kept Romania in this game. They looked so promising in the first half.

It's definitely DOGSO. And to make it worse KDB is committing SFP. He came in studs up into the knee of the GK before the ball crossed the line.

I checked in occasionally on the Scotland/Hungary game during baseball commercial breaks and let me tell you that was some god awful soccer. Scotland were particularly horrible.
The flopping in this tournament has made it nearly unwatchable.
Hungary today got a call on a kick to the head that wasn't even close to actually happening. It was like he was auditioning for the JFk sequel. In these tournaments they need post game reviews and suspensions, or even make it reviewable on the field for yellows. the only way it's gonna get cleaned up.

I watched the baseball game mainly and a little of the Swiss game. Not sure if there was a ton of diving in that but there probably was.
I fully agree that the tournaments and leagues need to get diving out of the game. I get that it's hard for refs on the field but they could easily suspend players or even take away cards after the fact. Players should get suspended if they have a certain number of dives in a season/group stage.
I know this means that Portugal won't be able to field a team by the knockout round of every tournament but I think this would be effective
We can't even get offside calls right by drawing a straight line on a video replay and you want to use video to assess diving? Soccer lives in the grey zones and diving is the greyest of the grey zones. Its impossible to adjudicate it in the way you want to and it would make the game immensely worse to do so.
Simulation is already a yellow card offense by the way.
And fouls in the box are already a penalty but are also reviewable.
Some dives, like the one in the Hungary match today are clear and obvious. If guys know there's a second or third set of eyes on it it will come down drastically.
