Some other highlights:

• DestroyWildDinos cheat command, instantly destroys all Wild Dinos. Useful if you want to force repopulation of the ARK... sounds apocalyptic. Similarly, DestroyStructures
• When placing a FenceFoundation/Wall/DoorFrame/GateFrame, you can now press the Use-Key to rotate them 180 degrees when snapped (i.e. to "flip" them)
• Collidable Saddle Platform & Build-on-Saddles: make your big brontos and plesios into mobile bases, build just about anything up from them! Build ladders to climb up onto them, whatever -- the possibilities are nearly endless!!! We originally were gonna limit it to sleeping bags and turrets, but let's just go all-out and make it work with everything

I think he means fill up their inventory so they are overburdened and can't move. Though it would be fun to grow thousands of trees inside another tribe's base while offline.

Well, maybe it was. Apparently Steam had an update that didn't install that kept me from seeing the server so I thought it was down. My reboot attempt was apparently less than successful.

No food on him, trough looks to be just out of range of the pteradons.

So we are assuming they will starve to death now? Wasn't sure if that was ever confirmed.

I didn't have time to make a trough, but I put some meat on the other pteris.

Noticed today there is a little icon above tamed dinos to show if they are in range of a trough.

How's everything going in game? I haven't been on in several days due to working on kitchen remodeling. I saw there were supposed to be elevators added in the last update. Has any one tried those yet?

Yeah, the raft is the first thing I built after the update. It's great, but takes a little getting used to. It doesn't go backwards, but you can still steer it to the side to get it off the beach ... but if you ground it in rocks it gets a bit tricky. Dinos will follow you onto it, and from looking online, it appears you can build on it.

I tried to attack it with a shark, and it didn't seem to take damage - but, that seems inconsistent with what people on r/playark say.

Good deal.

Eyeguy, don't sweat it, we can tame dinos pretty fast with kibble. We just need to find good ones when we are on, then farm a few alphas to level them up.

Speaking of which, has anyone confirmed the experience mechanics for nearby people and dinos when alphas are killed? I'm not sure if we need to all get a hit on the target to get experience, or if we can just be in proximity and still get experience.

I am pretty sure that if you are riding a dino, and attack the target both you and the dino get experience. I'm less sure if you are just nearby when the dino is killed. We get shared experience for regular kills - does that also apply for alphas?

For some reason i don't think you'll get EXP unless you attack, not just be near. AgDog, does this sound correct?

I'm not sure about the whole experience while riding thing. You may get some, but I think it is way less than if you kill it yourself. I am pretty sure that what/whoever strikes the killing blow gets the majority of the XP. If you have not hits in at all I don't know if you get any regardless of how close you are. I killed an alpha several weeks ago that some of the, at the time, newer guys didn't get any XP from even though they were in the area. They may still not hove been close enough, but it makes me wonder.

I was there, on the pteradon above you when you killed it. It was a low-level alpha rapter, if I recall correctly.

However, the assist experience can definitely be significant with alphas. When Creto and I were both mounted on t-rex killing alphas the day before, we were both getting multiple levels on both ourselves and our dinos when we killed many of them (depending on levels). I want to say I got experience when just nearby for some when they'd go down before I could get a bite in. IE he'd kill one, and we'd both get the trophy and advance a level or two.

IIRC, Creto got both experience and the stego head trophy when we killed the alpha t-rex, and if I recall correctly all he did was hover on the argent while I dangled from its talons and shot arrows. D'Funk delivered the killing blow on a t-rex, and we all got a crap-ton of experience.

We just need to test this. Someone look at their experience points, hover on a bird above the fight, then check experience afterwards.

The thing that I killed while 2 others watched was a lower level alpha carno. I don't think it was you who was on then as this was a few weeks ago. I think it was Doc and one of his buddies. They may have just been too far away though. I know neither of them got the rex helm skin either.
