Page 24 of this forum has the floor layout. You should be able to go by that, at least for that second wing. Beyond that, I do not think we even really have a plan. We just wanted to make it big and impressive, even though in the main "keep" alone there is already more space than we could ever really use. I'm of the opinion that we should finish the 2nd wing and then call it good.

Use ceilings and pillars so that it will always snap. Put the ceilings as close to the ground as you can where grass and plants don't come through. When we need to step the ceilings down or up for an elevation change we can use the new stone roof for a ramp to allow us to run inside the wall.
Also, we now have a template for the second wing. I built out the footprint and started the walls. It is one stone gate section wider/longer than the first wing, but not much more effort. We just need to finish the walls to the same height as the first wing and put a roof on it.

Big changes coming this week, including snow and swamp biomes. The noted areas may have buildings destroyed if this interfere with the terrain changes, so move any bases before Friday!

Looks like we may need to get on and maybe make a pen for dinos and storage for supplies just in case.

I'm not going to hold my breath on it actually being "this week". Things like elevators were supposed to be implemented stating patch 208, I think. 214 was supposed to be released last Friday, then noon yesterday, then 5 am this morning. As far as I know, it still has not been released.
That being said... WTF... One week to move base before everything in the green WILL be destroyed?!?! We cant just MOVE a base! Where would we even move it to? That castle took months to build and quite literally thousands of walls/ceilings/pillars! And we JUST finished it! The Ocean base (along with everything in it) would also be a huge loss. This would basically be like completely starting over minus the fact that we keep our levels...
If it is indeed all destroyed in the update, could 2K see it in his heart to spawn us back in the materials needed to rebuild everything?

I don't have a problem helping out if in fact your stuff gets wiped out. I'm pretty sure 2k would be on board.
Looking at the map our skyscraper might fall into some of that as well. Son of a *****.

Arena should be fine, that's in the northeast.

I was messing with our Dodo death pen (and giving them a feeding trough, since they were half starved to death, and that got me thinking. I think it'd be a really cool dynamic if you could train herbivores to be carnivores with a starvation and food limitation technique, not too dissimilar than the taming, but have it take a lot longer (like weeks). Especially as we have fun dropping dinos in the pit, I could see the dodos beginning to get a bit of a blood lust.

I think their old linksys router finally died. I have a Netgear Nighthawk, but I need the ethernet from their proprietary router before I have something I can use.
After all the trouble I've had with them this year I'd love to switch, but I'm getting too good of a deal.

I also wish they would explain why they seem to be focusing so little on the building aspect of the game, considering it is such a big part of it. I would much rather see stairs and partial walls come out before furniture, which I head they were supposedly working on. Who gives an eff about furniture? Why would anyone waste engrams on that?
They've been pretty good this week on patch ETAs, but they haven't even set an ETA yet for the biome patch (other than "Friday"). That means it will be either very late tonight, or sometime this weekend.

I've been wanting to try the SotF. you have to select that mode (bottom right of the menu screen) then search for open games and that will take you right into a match.
