I am the tribe leader of Texas Aggies on the Alien's Land server. We are usually online a lot so just keep trying if you want to join up. Alien has 2 servers at the moment. Alien's Land | Texas Dedicated and Aliensland.com | PVP. The Texas Dedicated is an old server and lags a lot so, if you wish, join the | PVP one.

We have 4-5 people at 65 (max level), 30-40 tamed dinos including 3 t-rex's (2 at their max level, 69 and 70), a bronto, 7 or 8 Argentavis', and a mix of other dino's. We are using a generator 24/7 now running auto-turrets, lights, and a refrigerator. We are working on expanding our fenced in area to meet up with our Megalodon pen and upgrading all walls and ceilings to metal (Cementing paste is ridiculous).

Anyone is welcome to join and I only have 2 simple rules. Only pvp/raid bases if provoked (stolen from/attacked). Build anything you want inside our area but make it look tidy.

I believe the Ark server browser is still bugged so you may have some trouble finding the server. If that's the case, use the steam server browser to find the server. Just set the filter to what you want to find.

Fun game!

I'm digging the sun deck action we've got going on.

That will eventually be a larger room for storage and base expansion. It was put on hold to work on the taming cage on the east side. Then we ran out of wood.

Yeah, popped on briefly this morning and noticed the new expansion area and the deconstructed pen. Harvested some more wood and built some panels.

RIP Hawkeye.

I need to get back on and see if I can get an official invite to the clan. I'm currently sleeping on the top of the tower - don't rob me! At least I did find my headset, so now you will be able to hear me yell "LEROY" before I come charging into camp kiting something scary.

This weekend looks good - my wife is out of town for a girls weekend and kids will be at my in-laws' house.

Prolly won't be on much for a while, family in town for a few weeks. If I am, I'll try and stock pile wood.

The fence now has 3 levels all the way around, except for the taming pen which isn't as important.

Just so you guys know, I'm fascinated by this thread. I don't play any online games, but stumbled onto this thread one day while I was bored and think this game looks awesome (I watched the trailer and everything).

Keep coming with the updates because I enjoy reading them (especially the screen shots).

Screenshots from my PC are dismal. I'm about ready to replace my aged 5770 card so I can experience the magic of dinosaurs the way God intended. My PC is a bit faster, but when I built my current computer I kept the graphics card out of the old one, and its age is really showing.

I will say I had a complete Jurassic Park moment my first 30 seconds into the game. I spawned on a beach right at dawn, and as it got lighter I heard a rumbling, the ground shook, the water rippled, and I looked all around me. There was a beautiful brontosaurs looking down at me, and I had to dodge to avoid getting stepped on. Then my screen froze briefly, FPS went to crap, I turned graphics all the way down, and the moment was lost.

crowbar has been MIA. I'm logging in now to see what you guys have done. Maybe I'll share some screens

I tried to jump on last night.

• I looked up how to increase my FPS- so naturally I updated my drivers.
  
• I updated a driver not compatible with Windows 8.1 - kept crashing.
  
• I ran in safe mode- reading a walkthrough on my tablet for the error. I clicked "PC refresh" I wasn't supposed to
  
• I had to re-download most of everything I have.

So what server are people actually on, because I've seen 3 different ones named so far...
I tried transferring my lvl 12 from Alien's Texas Dedicated to Aliensland PVP, but it was lost. Now I have a lvl 6 on the PVP sever.

Several of us are on Alien's Land | Dedicated TX

I don't play this game at all (don't even have a PC any more), but this thread cracks me up.

My first night playing I made it to the base, but no admins were on to let me in the tribe.

Last night I made a few attempts, but they all spectacularly failed. The first run I thought a canyon looked like such a nice road in the direction I needed to go, until I aggroed a pack of dilo's led by a rapter. Those things are fast! Then I died a couple times because it was bitterly cold and I couldn't see in the dark well enough to get fire quickly enough.

Then, I was running about in the dark wacking trees to get wood and I wacked a bronto. I looked up just in time to see a massive bronto foot come out of the moonlight to step on me.

My last attempt I decided to spawn in the north, and just make a naked run for it. I saw my first t-rex in the wild and just as I was happily away from him, I found a beautiful pond with a base on a hill overlooking the pond. I started to take the shortcut across the water (naturally I was thirsty since I didn't have skins), and some huge monster chased me out, then I ran up the hill just be eaten by a carno. Probably someone's pet.

All in all, this game is crazy fun. I'll get to the base and get my invite eventually, but I'm having fun just running around in Jurassic Park too.

I've had 7 deaths where the respawn animation had not yet finished before aggro'ing a trex or other such creature.

In my limited experience, the beach on the east side seems to be the safest place to start. Wide, open area where you can see things coming, and I've yet to see a t-rex over there. Lots of dodos and fish to get started with, and dilos and turtles if you want something bigger that's still relatively easy.

The north is lolterrible. Just big mean things everywhere.
