Of course, the problem we have is that the pen is too small and it won't fit in a normal dino door. So, if anyone is on and needs something to do, feel free to expand the base into the water more and build a behemoth gate

Ok. So after my fun little Cad program crashed I just jumped in a single player game and started building the castle by spawning things in. Here is the completed main foundation. It is huge... Argent for scale.

With Wee's assistance last night, we now have a 152 anky, and tamed two pteras. However, once we got back to the base, one of the pteras completely randomly, died. Didn't say he was killed by anything and he was sitting in the middle of our base. But we still have one new one.

So finally leveled to where I can make a Rex saddle... awesome! AgDod and I went out and looked for a while but finally found a 108 Rex. About 80 crossbow arrows later he was downed. Starved him 2000+ food down for an instant tame. DAM YOU SCORPIONS! Had a 2 wall (3 in some spots) high pen around him completely and they still managed to climb a near by rock to hop on in and spoil the fun. AgDog was on it and killed them quickly but the damage was done. Rex didn't die but ruined the taming efficiency even though we used kibble and cooked prime. Ended up with only like 20 something levels+ instead of the 50+ I was expecting. Much disappoint. Going to keep looking for a 120 Rex this week.

I'm pretty sure he had some raw meat on him, I used him to harvest some of the afore mentioned dino battle deaths.

But, I thought they didn't need food on them unless they were seriously injured.

Their food will still drop if there isn't food on them. I'm not sure what happens when it hits zero. Might be time to experiment

Yeah! Ok so AgDog found the Trex... like 112 IIRC, so I ran there on foot and started to get him to kite back... lol. Full flack armor dusted in a few chomps and i was near death (260+ health down to ~25) when i made it to the tower i indented to pelt him from. He knocked me off and would have easily eaten me if i hadn't been lodged between the door i made and the tower ladder/column.

Safely tucked away I proceeded to fill him with about 80 arrows total (about 20 while kiting) until he fell down tranq'd. Took a few hours to starve. Fiery (sp) was scouting around and spotted an Alpha raptr not too far away so I took the rex we got the other day (DisRexic) and chomped him up. ~44 prime off him and some good loots. Also had like 90 cooked prime we had been working on earlier for this tame.

Headed back to the tame and no scorpions this time! Threw on all the prime and cooked prime and he went to town. I was frantically dumping on the food and didn't see what his starting effectiveness was or where it ended but he tamed at 159! I imagine it would have been 170+ with a perfect tame and kibble. Was a good night for a tame.

I'll let AgDog tel his story about the 100+ cat he did the same thing with... just in a slightly more dangerous area.

I haven't been on now in about two weeks, and am now dealing with a work conference, and I feel I keep getting further and further behind.

Yep, carnivores on steroids very dangerous. But they give 40+ prime after they die and the rex bone helm skin.

As 2k mentioned, I had a 108 saber starved and just gotten 50+ raw prime, I was in the process of taking the prime off the rex. I saw the bird coming and didn't think too much of it.

As it gets closer it goes for the Rex then manages to fly near the saber, rex proceeds to chomp the bird killing the saber in the process. I was literally seconds away from taming the saber.

Any one outside of DinosMatter getting repeatedly booted from the server lately? I happened to me personally 5 times last night and I know others were having the same issue. Any one know what is going on with that. I check my connection every time and my ping is always hovering around the 80's, so I don't think it is anything on my end. Last night was the first time I have had that happen.

2k rebooted the server after that. Mind you, I didn't hang around much longer after the reboot, but didn't get kicked off in that time period. Before he did though, I think I got booted 10+ times, all with a ~70 ping.

2k did mention that he filed a support ticket though.
