I know people keep talking about them. I have yet to even see one. The are releasing another massive patch today and part of it is reducing their range of site by 60 percent. That should help

Sooooo it looks like the BlueFang server is offline again. I tweeted them asking what's going on, but in the mean time do we want to start on a new server that's more reliable or just wait it out on this one?

Well, most of us are lvl 15, which means that we can upload our characters across servers.

I say wait until this server is back, get on, upload characters, then switch to a more reliable/official server.

what is this uploading you guys are talking about? But we can't upload if we're on an unofficial server, yea?
Once you reach a certain level (maybe only 5?) you can go to the base of one of the giant pillars floating in the sky an upload your character. You lose all of your gear (I think) but you can then go to a different server and download your character on to it, rather than having to start all over again. I have no idea how or if it works between official and unofficial servers. Or, for that matter, if you can upload on from an offline game. Will have to look in to that.

I wonder if that map marker is a server selectable option. I did not see it listed in the new patch notes, so I assume it has always been available if the server allowed it.

I vaguely remembered it you played Day-Z with us. But it's a survivalist, base building, hunting/gathering type sandbox. Oh- and there are dinos errwhere. It's one of those games A LOT more fun running with a group on TS.

Like mentioned before, very impressed with it's early release. Hoping we can stay put on this server for a while and get something started. I talked to Bru earlier this morning, and think we should just follow the river that we're on inland and see how far in it goes.

That did not end well for us last night.
I ran away and watched you all die.

Then I saw an ALBINO T-REX so yeah, I had to investigate. As I was observing this thing take down two brontosauruses and eat them for dinner I was greeted by one of his buddies who decided to have me for dinner. All in all a fun way to die.

FYI - diving under water does not magically keep you from being eaten by a t-rex.

I agree with following the river north. I explored a bit further north after the t-rex incident and there are a lot of carnos and t-rexes (t-rexi?). I recommend giving the river a wide birth.

Yeah, they shut it down. We are now on Alien's Land | Texas Dedicated (or something like that). Become steam friends with some of us (if you aren't) and filter by Friends.
