I'm fully aware of that. That said the end of the fiscal year was pushed out a couple of weeks because of Trump changing our performance plans. Don't get me wrong though, I won't complain about the time off.

I hope Trump starts firing people at 12:01am. I saw a video that he can fire almost 750,000 unessential employees and defund more left wing NGOs. Potentially gutting the progressive movement apparatus. We would have a budget surplus if this should happen. Someone needs to have the list ready to go.

I don't think that dog is going to hunt. The R House passed a clean funding bill. The R's in the Senate voted for the same and Trump would sign it.

The Dems own this one. They are the ones refusing to fund the government.

None of this matters on the big picture as the midterms are far too into the future for memories of this to weigh in.

Now, a warning to Rs not to try and play these games 12 months from now. Keep any debt ceiling / continuing resolution horse poopoo at least 6 months away from November 2026.

And Morning Consult is one of the lower rated pollsters out there.

So Fetterman says he is a Yes so we are now at 53? 54?

That parks this hard into the D column regarding the blame game.

Fettermans reasoning, as pointed out above Trump has a lot of opportunity to make changes and cuts during a shutdown (I am not familiar with the details on this). Fetterman speaks in plain terms that people understand, common people.

He's still against Trump but believe a shutdown will be a huge win for Trump.
