I don't think we will see any noteworthy rioting over a guilty verdict here. A few rabble rousers for a night, but nothing major.
Delayed/late reply here... Apologies
I tend to agree. 2 driving factors
1) This is Texas and Governor Abbott is not going to put up with it. If there are any indications this will get out of hand DPS will very likely pour in to support local law enforcement in whatever city the spark lands, and I think they will very quickly be reinforced by TNG. It's possible that these preparations for rapid response are already spooling very quietly in the background.
2) General lack of national media coverage. It got the coverage when the stabbing happened and even then you could tell that the racist white kid attacking the defenseless black kid wasn't sticking. Despite an outpouring of 1-off cash to a GoFundMe grift operation, by-and-large the powers that be know what happened here. Fact's be damned, that still frame from the Floyd incident with Chauvin's knee and lower leg on him "looked bad." Out of context it "memed well," so it was a catalyst for a narrative. There isn't any of that here for an agenda based driver to work with.
Maybe a localized dustup if the verdict goes one way, but not enough national attention to fuel something large and ongoing.
