Supposedly one black potential juror said he could not send a "brother" to jail. Could've just been saying that to get out of being on the jury, but sometimes that can backfire as the other side might want you.

I would think not, but we'll see if he gets convicted if that comes out from the defense.

That it was a racist jury and not a jury of his peers.

Kind of hard to believe they couldn't find one black person to serve on the jury.

Whoever shows up is whoever shows up. As long as the state didn't cut black people for the sake of being black I'm not sure there's much anyone can do about it.

You're an adult in Texas at 17 for purposes of criminal law. I found that out the hard way a week after my 17th birthday. I think it's ridiculous.

I wish this case was being televised. Similar to the Rittenhouse case, a lot came out on social media that was blatantly false. At the conclusion of Rittenhouse trial there was a tremendous split between the people who actually watched some are all of the trial and the people who just followed it on social media or watched the news. The fact that trial is broadcast helped quell a lot of protesting because even most people who would be outraged by the outcome had to admit the evidence really wasn't on their side there.

Let the facts be what the facts be.

That's gonna leave a mark on the defense for any insinuation that Metcalf was acting in a racist manner towards Anthony.

I've heard the 'wisecracker', loud, obnoxious braggart or boaster explanation before. Basically, poor whites who had nothing to their name but would loudly boast were derisively referred to as 'crackers'. It was a way of someone saying someone is a loud jackass who has never accomplished anything and never will accomplish anything, yet they're a loud mouth. It was a way to describe specific members of the ne'er do well white trash class.

Today, it is about as effective a slur as referring to them as 'honkies', i.e. patrons of honky tonks.

The concepts of shame and decency are simply not a part of some demographic groups in our society.

One of my kids played his best game ever on that field where camo decided to kill someone for almost no reason. Another kid is a track kid that will probably go to State at some point.

This thug BS from camo was bad and his actions caused a twin to not grow up to adulthood with his brother. It hits close to home for me. These outside racebaiters can eat a ******* ****.
