*Putting on my tinfoil hat*

I think they're hiding the true story and how they truly found him. It was probably extremely invasive AI/NSA type stuff that they'd rather the public not know about. Then planted all the evidence.

Dude just doesn't lounge around in McDonald's without changing his appearance and HOLDING THE MURDER WEAPON 5 freaking days later…like, really?…

Many so called "ghost guns," especially the 3D printed type, use a Glock based design. They even accept Glock magazines.

The Glock Gen3 and older are no longer protected by their copyright/trademark/patent so anyone can make a gun based on them. There are numerous Glock clones on the market like PSA, Canik, and SAR USA, and the design for a Glock frame can easily be downloaded and printed if someone wants to assemble one on their own.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. The frame on glocks are plastic right? So I guess it makes sense then

You can also buy unfinished and unserialed frames and jigs to finish them the same as with an AR. Much better and cheaper/easier than printing.

Indeed, these are not remotely leftist views. In fact this is classic dissident right traditionalism. I'm not supporting the guy but these are clear right wing views.

Of course he believed in climate change too and that's a clear leftist position.

I think it's becoming increasingly clear he oneshotted his brain with psychadelics trying to deal with his back pain and then went insane.

Yep, they're plastic, or as the industry likes to say, polymer. Most modern handguns are to one degree or another, but Glock was the first to really put a lot of plastics/polymers into handguns.

Very true, I just mentioned 3D printing because reports were saying that is how he made the gun.

Tats what people are saying. You mind explaining what that is?
It often occurs with activities, often sports, that put high stress on the back. I've most commonly seen it in gymnasts and cheerleaders but can happen with any activity that puts high load on the lower back.

On the Xray, you can see 4 screws and a plate. The top 2 screws appear to be in the L5 vertebrae, and the bottom 2 screws are in the sacrum. All run through a plate to provide stability in hopes of preventing further shifting of the L5. If you look closely, you can see that the L5 remains shifted anteriorly (forward, right to left on Xray). You would have to ask any orthopedic surgeon if that degree of anterior shift is acceptable following surgery.
Othopods shouldnt be doing spine surgery, but that's for another thread

Agree. Back surgery should always be done by a neurosurgeon. You have two things involved, nerves and bones. Nerves are the most important thing so get a neurosurgeon.
A dual-boarded neuroradiologist and interventional pain doc said he would trust himself to watch some youtube vids on spine surgery rather than send a patient to ortho, ouch. But wonder if chronic pain had any impact in this case. Very difficult living with that, and having spine surgery that young (or really any spine surgery, if you can avoid spine surgery you should lol) is a poor prognostic factor

If the cops hadn't tracked that guy down to that hostel and got that shot of his stupid grin when he had lowered his mask and then put those photos out there, the McD's cashier doesn't call.

NOr are the cops able to quickly ascertain from all the evidence collected that the tip is a good one.

Cryptic Video Linked to Luigi Mangione Pops Up on YouTube Hours After Arrest

"If you see this, I'm already under arrest," said a caption in the silent 84-second clip posted by the account @PepMangione, which matches other social handles that appear to be those of Luigi Mangione, the man arrested on Monday. The message was accompanied by a countdown from 60 seconds. Near the end of the video, the message, "Soon..." appeared at the bottom right of a black screen. A second caption appeared at the end of the video, saying, "All is scheduled, be patient. Bye for now."

I am curious about what this guy was doing for money. The only reference to a job he held I have seen was him working for Stanford Univ in some kind of advisory role 5 years ago. I assume he was from a wealthy family given his private school and Ivy League educations but from what I have read he fell off his immediate family's radar for the last year and they haven't had much contact with him. He spent time in Hawaii and Japan which isn't cheap. Was his family sending him money? Will be interesting to find out if any of his family or high school and college friends reported him to a tip line after seeing the wanted posters. You would think if he held a job recently a coworker would have recognized him from the posters.

I see he was a data engineer for TrueCar for 4 years up to now. Started as Data Engineer 1 and was promoted two time to Data Engineer 3 (now)

My guess is that he's a trust fund baby and once he turned 25, he was given full access. Since he's now 26 and has been out of contact with his family for over a year.

So, just another spoiled trust fund baby looking for purpose and meaning by fetishizing the poor because they've never struggled a day in their life.

Figures.

Not surprising to see F16 leftists trash Christianity.

Those post-modernist social Darwinists and their impeccable understanding of what love is..... "Love is Love" they tell us.....

The Christian has the objective truth on their side. The Bible defines what love is.

I just can't get over my suspicion about him still carrying his gun. At the very least bury it somewhere and memorize the coordinates? The dumbest person ever would ditch it within hours. NYPD was so certain he ditched the gun so quickly they were scuba diving in Central Park. (As one would rightly assume given all the other precautions he took.)

I will be interested to see what the official narrative will turn out to be and how the legal proceedings go next

Not if he was on the lam constantly moving with no central base and needed the gun to complete his mission. Hell maybe he wanted to go down in a blaze of glory and was just caught completely off guard in McDonald's.

I think it's completely explainable why he would have everything on his person.

The fact is PA cops searched him and he had a gun and a suppressor and fake IDs on him. What other narrative would there be? Do you think there is some kind of vast conspiracy like those objects were planted on this suspect or something? A conspiracy that would involve the NYPD, the FBI, and local cops in Altoona, PA? Rational thinking people don't gun a stranger down on a crowded street to prove a point.

There have been plenty of cases where cops have planted evidence. It does happen and that is not really a conspiracy.

Everything he wore or touched since his arrival in NYC should have been long gone if someone wanted to get away with it. And…maybe he didn't expect to get away, who knows. Still very strange
