All run through a plate to provide stability in hopes of preventing further shifting of the L5. If you look closely, you can see that the L5 remains shifted anteriorly (forward, right to left on Xray). You would have to ask any orthopedic surgeon if that degree of anterior shift is acceptable following surgery.

Exactly. Additionally, there is often an arrogance that comes with some high IQ people. I'm suspect Luigi thought in his own mind that he was too smart to get caught by a bunch of donut munchers. In the end, it was a 100 IQ McEmployee who blew his plan.

I actually know someone like that, although haven't seen him roughly a decade as he moved to California to work for some tech company.

Has an IQ of probably 160-170. He can do almost any math problem in his head, faster than someone could work it out using a computer.

He has less than zero common sense and would be the guy in that cartoon. He also loves to remind everyone just how smart he is and that he has a PhD.

That said, he is not a bad guy. I don't think he could hurt someone if he wanted to. Generally super high IQ people are just different, as though whatever in their brain gives them that high IQ makes them somewhat abnormal in other areas.

If he's moving around to evade police with minimal possessions, it would make sense that he'd have what he views as most vital or important on him at all times. That way if he has to bug out or his hiding place is raided, he won't lose what he sees as irreplaceable.

The 'Craigs List Killer' Phillip Markoff back in 2009 was a Boston College Med Student in his twenties (Oncology focus) who one week while his fiance left town to finish planning their upcoming wedding...decided to use his laptop at his own home and reach out to women advertising 'massages' on Craigs List...drove to the hotel in his own car, walked in hotel lobbies with security cameras...robbed them and shot and killed one of them...

And the cops using the video cameras and tracking down the internet cookies to his apartment address caught him relatively quick...and boy was he a really smart young man surprised in the police interrogation that the police had found him (which is all on YouTube).

Just be glad that you have tried to get in the head of a sociopath irrational 'book smart' individual who fell off the mental cliff and you are having trouble understanding why he behaved like he did, or made several mistakes to help get him caught.

I have an L5 that is slipped forward, just had an MRI last month. No surgery recommended from my back doc, I still play golf and lift lighter weights and stretch a lot to be more flexible. She told me the L5 doesn't just slip forward from a moment but usually a life of stress on the back, usually sports, etc.

I have no plans to get that **** put in my back, and my doc said I can keep going to my chiropractor. I have yet to want to write a manifesto, and I'm 57.

The NYPD, FBI, etc. who ran down this guy pretty fast deserve a lot of credit.

Like the Unabomber, I think this guy would have killed again had he been given enough time to plan another act (i.e., entered a Serial Killer mode). He may have already had more target ideas on a To-Do list.

My BIL is an Ortho Spine surgeon and even he will tell me the last resort for any back issue is back surgery.

That said, he looked at the above pic and replied with this…
" Lowest screw looks ok I think. That screw is going into the ilium.
L5 is fine. It's just spondylolisthesis so they just fuse it as is.
If you reduce L5 on S1, like try to restore it, you can get a stretch injury to L5."

"Ghost gun" and Glock aren't exactly mutually exclusive. You can build a "Glock" using Glock parts and an 80% frame the same way you can build an AR using an upper, 80% lower, and trigger/parts kit. It may not have Glock on the frame, but it's the exact same as one in every other way.

Many so called "ghost guns," especially the 3D printed type, use a Glock based design. They even accept Glock magazines.

The Glock Gen3 and older are no longer protected by their copyright/trademark/patent so anyone can make a gun based on them. There are numerous Glock clones on the market like PSA, Canik, and SAR USA, and the design for a Glock frame can easily be downloaded and printed if someone wants to assemble one on their own.

I know they worked tirelessly and their work has helped gather a lot of evidence. But I also lol'd when the guy was actually caught by a McDonald's cashier who called the cops .
