What of they win the fight and as Boba is sitting on his throne, fennec shoots him in the back of the head, throws him on the ground, sits on the throne and the title card The Book of Fennec Shand comes up?

Music for "Make a Man Out of You" cues in the background.
It too me a sec to also realize Fennec IS Mulan....

To me, the blandest and most generic feeling battle of the whole saga was the final battle in TROS. (Which is pretty sad considering that should be the epic climax.)

The space battle is the worst...

But there are more of us, Poe. There are more of us.
*I cringed*
Poe moves his position to reveal hundreds (thousands?) of ships scattered like a massive asteroid field.
*I cringed again*
Shot of Lando and Chewie in the Falcon
*Ok, I'll allow it*
Immediate cut to Finn standing on a ship in space yelling you, "You did it, Poe. You did it."
*The cringe returns*
Cut to Wedge
*I see what they are doing here*
Now they are destroying the less than fully operational star destroyer fleet
*Oh gawd, when will it just end*
Cut to evil commander, where did they get this starcraft and navy? Random officer responds that "it's just... people".
*Please for the love of god, make it end*
Keri Russell makes a kill and talks to Poe. Poe laughs and quips, "You made it".
*Wonders if this is a massive family reunion or a battle?*

And, damn, just realized this conversation is on the Boba Fett thread - oh well. If we don't complain about the new trilogy here, it isn't a real Star Wars thread.

It was on the other day and we only made it to the fake blowing up Chewie scene. One profound moment in the whole movie and they chickened out. Weak

I still believe a lot of people there are faking it big time, and the fact that they exist annoys me.

I watch a few reaction vids on SW shows, and I call bull**** on several of the comments being made on first pass.
The legit ones make sifting through the fake/lame ones worth it though. In my experience.
there is no greater Star Wars reaction video than this one

Also I do gotta say a lot of the reactions to S2E8 of Mandalorian were either real, or those or some dang good nerd actors who can turn on the real tears at a moments notice

Exactly.

Here's some of the die hard SW fans with genuine reactions...

I don't know what it'll be, but I'm almost certain we'll have another one of these moments in the final two episodes of Boba. I can't wait.

See, Brian's are ones that I found to be real and I've watched all of those. They make you smile, and there are both women and men in it as well.
Joker linked one that seemed clearly fake to me, to the point that I remember watching it before. Could be wrong of course.
And it's very lucrative to make fake reaction videos, if you wonder why someone might do it.

I hadn't seen that last one before, holy **** balls

The one I linked actually isn't the original. The original got taken down years ago as it received criticism because people thought it was fake simply based on the time it was posted and when RO came out.

Turns out the girl in the video was doing missionary work in another country and is a diehard Star Wars fan and all her friends knew she'd react this way. The original also got edited in the description showing her name so it wasn't long afterwards that they took it down.

Doesn't matter though. I know it was real.

I cant wait to see Grogu in that little observation window behind Mando in his new spaceship where the astromech droid usually goes. He's going to love that little spot.

Give him "fake controls" to play with, and it will be awesome.

Grogu will stop incoming laser blasts with the force at some point in S3, guaranteed.

There's a part in the book Lords of the Sith where it describes Vader doing that to protect his TIE Fighter, as if all the missiles hit an invisible wall and exploded. It was awesome.

I'm picturing something similar.

Its a trope that has been around for a long time, some stories/movies/shows do it better than others.

I think the "golden age of TV" is doing a number to movies. Telling an involved story over ~10 episodes works so much better than in a single 2.5 hour block. Plus the audience is more forgiving of silliness (rat catcher is a perfect example) because it doesn't waste a ton of precious screen time.
I used to feel that if a story was moved to TV that it was a bad thing and meant it was a "lesser" story to tell. Now I am the opposite given the quality of what I have seen with series vs the limitations movies have. Not in every case. No Way Home was a great movie. Perfect for that format. But with a series, certain stories can be broken down so much better and with equal acting and production value as a movie these days. Some of the special effects in Mando have been some of the best in any Star Wars movie. Some of the best writing also. Sure, some episodes were not as good as others and some scenes could be excused. But overall the writers can add so much more richness to the story and in turn the universe that they are setting the story in (Star Wars, MCU, GOT, whatever). I am now wanting certain stories, for instance certain MCU stories from the comics, to be in series form to better set up the stories and tell them correctly.

Also, I couldn't agree more with that video on the aspect of needing to see more politics in the ST. We needed to see the new Senate actually functioning before it was destroyed. Give us a sense of the political state of the galaxy. Make us CARE when the capital is destroyed. Pretty sure I made that complaint even at the time, but as a prequel fan that kind of comment gets dismissed or ridiculed.

Anyway sorry for the derail. That's all I've got to say about that.

Complaining about the new trilogy has been a Star Wars tradition for more than 20 years now. It's appropriate anywhere.

They could easily do a series with Leia trying to navigate the political waters after the formation of the New Republic if they were willing to recast Leia and bring back Alden Ehrenreich to play Han. Half the Legends books are about some political uprising she has to try to stop while being stabbed in the back by Bothans and trying to avoid being assassinated.

I think trying to bring Leia or Han back for anything more than a cameo / fan service to give some backstory on what's happened in the last 20-25 years was a big mistake.

They definitely shouldn't have made Han "give up" - lost the Falcon, not with Leia, abdandoned Son, no interest in leadership... just wants to be "Han the Smuggler" again... boooo! Trashed his story arc... booo!

Then after the first 5-10 minutes of backstory, launch into Luke building the new academy. Kylo's downfall. And his ultimate redemption or whatever. That's the story I wanted to see; Luke training new badass Jedi, finding new Jedi techniques, having a master/student crisis and having to find a way to redeem the student or pass on what he had learned to another.
