Just watched the 5th episode. That was much better.

Before she pulled the tarp off that star fighter I was worried she had a pod and was going to tell him he had to race Sebulba to win a Razor Crest from Watto.

Side note: after watching Supernatural and seeing Emily Swallow play The Darkness, I would not be upset if she ends up abandoning the creed and removing her helmet.

TCW, Rebels, and Bad Batch have all been great. I really have enjoyed how the shows have built upon themselves for people who have watched all of them.

What does this video have to do with why they depicted Mando's experience? Not combative, just seemed like that scene was more with her personal demons with Mandalore.
In the episode this week, he was "fighting it" which I was thinking had to more like they were treating it like a greatsword or a weapon like that...but shouldnt this weapon just have basically no weight?

"The appropriately-titled Star Wars Rebels season 3 episode "Trials of the Darksaber" shows Sabine Wren training with this tricky titular weapon for the very first time, while Kanan Jarrus acts as her instructor. Upon igniting, Sabine remarks on how the Darksaber feels "heavier than [she] thought," and Jarrus duly explains why. According to the runaway Jedi, the Darksaber is considerably harder to wield than your average lightsaber. Jarrus says, "Energy constantly flows through the crystal. You're not fighting with a simple blade as much as you are directing a current of power. Your thoughts, your actions, they become energy. They flow through the crystal as well, and become a part of the blade." In other words, someone who lacks control and acceptance over their thoughts and feelings - or those with an undisciplined fighting style - will find the Darksaber heavier to hold, as all of that inner baggage channels into the blade, weighing it down."

Are you asking me a question or answering your own question? Clearly Sabine's early thoughts in the video reflect what Mando says to the Armorer.

I cannot believe some people here are actually complaining. We get a terrible show for four straight episodes, yet a small handful of people manage to get somewhat annoyed when the awesome fifth episode doesn't focus on the terrible characters, and instead gives us an entire episode of the show we love, a whole year before we were even expecting it. Those same people just want to get back to the terrible show, as to not break the consistency of its terribleness. In other words, they're essentially complaining that something wasn't *completely* bad, which I find hilarious, confounding, and depressing.

Has this season been all over the place? No doubt. But at this point we should take what we can get. The hope for any kind of coherency or consistency has long passed.

Uhhh yeah. I am a Star Wars fan but not too hardcore and I felt robbed by this episode. Mando has been awesome and Rogue One level elite and BOBF has been entirely hit or miss.

This Marvel idea of building a universe just doesn't work with Star Wars because fan expectations and views are decades old.

Mando is Mando. There were some incredibly important plot and development points this episode. It has only soured me on this series.

Mando deserved to have these developments in his own show. Fans wanted that. Why do this in a series with a lukewarm reception?

There are some edits in my post, I decided to google to see. It felt like in the video he was just saying she was conflicted about her decisions. I thought the quote I found provided a little more context as well.
I like the concept that you can't just pick it up and be an expert, and it makes sense that a Moff would be an expert with the weapon considering the control they would probably have to have to rise to Moff status.

I thought it was really great that they showed him being injured by his own weapon in the opening scene, dont remember seeing that in Star Wars before.

I honestly don't understand what you are saying. How is watching this episode robbing fans of THe Mandalorian. They are watching this series, and they will remember it when the season starts up....

If you said you felt robbed of seeing more Boba Fett, I could at least understand that view point.

Not much to say that hasn't already been said, that was just epic. And that opening scene…wow.

Favorite shot: when we go to the workers outside the office where Mando has just waylaid everyone, then we cut to their POV and see him retract the Dark Saber through the frosted curtain. Perfection.

Also, the N1 looks way more badass stainless.

You realize this iteration of Boba Fett was introduced to us THROUGH Mando, right? Boba Fett's series is a direct spin-off/sequel of Mando. Put simply, there would be no continuation of the Boba Fett story if not for Mando. Mando is in The Book of Boba Fett's DNA and vice versa, one was born out of the other, etc. BOBF even temporarily took over Mando's "time slot" as a place holder this year. So, this idea that they should be totally separate holds no water whatsoever.

That was a nice fake out as I was thinking, "how is a pod racer going to be useful?"

Then as they were restoring and modifying the N-1 Starfighter I started thinking of the house building song from Red Dead Redemption 2. Mando went from being a truck/SUV guy to having his mid-life crisis in this:

This episode pushed forward very important Mando plot lines and included important characters. It feels like a piggyback.

It also organically puts him in a position to assist Boba Fett, in a way that advances both story arcs.

Im imagining an early lightsaber like the darksaber it tough to control without the force. Not well balanced or energy flow not balanced. Something like that.

The movies had bombers in space…. Better to not think of gravity in Star Wars
Those TIE Bombers first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back. If there is a problem with bombers in space as pages upon pages in the main SW thread regarding The Last Jedi (the worst of all Star Wars movies IMO, but not because of the bombers), then there should also have been a problem with bombers in TESB (by most polls I've seen, the best of the Star Wars movies and my personal favorite movie of all time).

Honestly I think they are taking a little bit of that scene from rebels and making it much more dramatic. If he could wield it like I lightsaber it wouldn't even be fair at this point. It's kind of a way to power cap your main character.

The only thing the Sacking of Mandalore scene was missing was a huge AT-AT in the background And maybe a troop of Stormtroopers running in the background.

If George had directed it, there would be a droid that popped up in the foreground to taunt the K-2SO Imperial Security Droids before being blasted

just to throw more love towards Bryce Dallas Howard.....found out something just now on IMDB i'm really excited about!

turns out she's directing a remake of what was my FAVORITE sci-fi movie as a kid, Flight of the Navigator that's in pre-production right now.

the whole movie is a great way to introduce kids to the sci-fi genre and honestly the first half of the film where they're trying to figure out what happened to the kid is some of the best sci-fi mystery stuff i've seen on a kids level.

I remember reading some Star Wars tech-lore as a kid about lightsabers feeling like hold a spinning top. There was some kind of centrifugal force due to the "power loop" going on.
