All we needed was some A Team music while they assembled the new ship.

Some thoughts from previous posts:

After some 25ish years I find it hard to believe that debris would be left on the ramp. Either scavengers or wind would have carried it away, or it would all be covered in sand. It gets everywhere, after all.

BDH has done a good job with her episodes. I do wonder what she could do with more.

Regarding the Xwing pilots...are they just escorting the starship? Why else would they be out there?

The long piece the Jawas brought Mando is the same thing Han, Luke, and Leia used to stop the trash compactor on the Death Star.
Noticed that too

That rod also made an appearance outside of the older x imperial guys place where he rescued grogu. It was leaning up against the wall near some trash

First.. love this eps.. agree that this felt more like Mando S1 E1 .. but who cares it was awesome.

However; an N-1 is not what he needs for BH work. How will he transport his Marks? Assume they will go in the droid pod behind the pilot but .. that is a guess. Also, the N-1 is not good for long trips where you have to use the bathroom .. just seem like the wrong kind of ship for his line of work.

However; it might be the right kind of ship to get through a blockade and get onto Mandalore.

Hoping he gets a small freighter w/ a port connection for the N-1... have his cake and eat it too.

Didn't seem much bigger than 2 meters.

Loved the slower, more epic version of the Mando theme when he was inspecting the finished ship.

This guy who does the music is a winner.

That was the best episode of TBOBF - and BF is not even in it. Lots of nostalgia to TPM with the Naboo star fighter and the goofy service droids. Felt like this was actually a Mando episode.

My guess is his bounty hunting days are over. I'm assuming his story ultimately shifts to being the reluctant leader of sorts in some kind of take-back of Mandalore, in which he first restores his honor in the mines of Mandolore or whatever the female Mandalorian was talking about. Between those two goals, that's at least two seasons worth of plot, if not more.

Enjoyed seeing this droid even though it wasn't BD-1. Hope we get a Cal live action intro in Mando season 3 or a different show

Best episode of boba fett and no boba fett.

The N1 was pretty damn cool. Is the dark saber having a will of its own something from previous lore or are they just trying to handicap him from become an instant badass?

Yep, it's a fun, expressive droid type.

Ok I just started this but Mando burning himself with the dark saber is the greatest/most realistic thing in star wars ever.

It's about time we saw someone without training hurt themselves with a light saber.

I don't understand why the dark saber is "heavy." And don't give me the "you're fighting against it" line.

It's the outter rim, I think they even said they were stretched thin out here in Mando.

So, how is gravity supposed to work in Star Wars?

You have a halo ring, and when you're on the inside, gravity moves towards the ring. Makes sense.

But when you go to the outside of the ring, gravity moves… towards the walkway you're standing on, with the ring above your head. Then when you fall off, you fall out into space. Uhh, ok?

This episodes production value was far better than any other Fett episode. I bet they made this one first and made episode 3 last and had to cut corners to stay in budget.

Yeah, I didn't understand that at all. Or where space began and the artificial atmosphere stopped.

The movies had bombers in space…. Better to not think of gravity in Star Wars

You could see the atmosphere in one of the first shots of the ring. How they keep that there, I'm not sure.

The thing that bothered me most about the ring itself was that it looked like it was only about half a mile wide. In comparison, the Halo rings are almost 200 miles wide.

This was just a little thing, but I found soooo impressive:

After taking that guy's head as bounty, he walks (in pain) down a street and enters an elevator. The elevator takes him up one level, where he exists and walks over to the table with the client. After getting his information, he turns around and walks back through the exit and back into the elevator, which takes him back down one level, and he exits and walks away.

All in one uninterrupted take...and the green-screen work was absolutely FLAWLESS.

BDH can absolutely CRUSH it. Give her her own SW movie.

...and Mando taking all of his weapons and accessories off and placing them in that storage container to board the starship was probably the funniest thing I've ever seen in a Star Wars property.

It's actually the volume (an actual image being projected), not a green screen, which makes it even more impressive.

I really enjoyed how he emptied the whistling birds and unwound the cord from the thrower. It would've been so easy for them to just show him unholstering a couple of blasters and the saber, but they went the extra step.

This is actually a nod to one of those old "Maverick" movies with James Garner ("Support Your Local Sheriff", et al). Can't remember which one it was, but Maverick was going into a saloon that requires you to leave weapons at the door.

Long story short, by the time he takes out all his guns out of various holsters (hidden and not), there's a heaping mound of pistols and ammo on this table outside the door.

Guarantee Robert Rodriguez and the rest of the producers and directors are aware of these old western tropes.

I mean even LOTR did it with Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and Gandalf arriving at Edoras.

The Darksaber on a lost luggage claim would be amazing. Have Larry David direct the episode where Mando attempts to work through the claim process.
